With comprehensive training in chest medicine, cardiology, nephrology, neurology, diabetes, and endocrinology, he served as a medical registrar before entering primary care. Hailing from the Sri Lankan Tamil community, he is currently a clinical assistant in general medicine and neurology at the age of 68.
