In Episode 2 of Haunting Paranormal, hosts Derek Cole and Eddie McCowan sit down with Mel, whose experiences with the unexplained began long before her life in the mountains. Mel shares memories of paranormal encounters stretching back to childhood, including an apparition she has never forgotten, her beliefs about protective and ancestral spirits, and the powerful intuition that sometimes tells her whether a place—or a person—is safe. But things become even stranger after she moves into a secluded Appalachian setting. Mel describes sensing changes in the atmosphere around her property, unusual visitors, experiences involving people she associates with witchcraft or darker spiritual practices, and moments when instinct told her very clearly that something wasn't right. The conversation also explores what it is actually like to live largely alone and independently in the mountains: isolation, generators, solar power, difficult conditions, foster animals, self-reliance—and the unexpected way solitude seems to have made Mel more sensitive to the energy around her.
