20 NOV 2024 · Mallory Bernhard joins Hawk Talk to discuss the Women's Basketball team. They are a young team that is playing well and beginning to gel. New players are making an impact on the team and they are working well with the older players. Players look proud to be playing for UND. The Local players that have come in are helping with the crowds and energy around the team. Although the Youngstown State game was cancelled they were able to practice what it is like on the road and that was a benefit for the young team. Their next opponent is Montana on Thursday and they are a good team. It's going to be a physical game. The team is going to be tested on the next couple games.

20 NOV 2024 · Brad Berry joins Hawk Talk to update us on some injured players and how we need to get back to playing our game. With the injuries guys are getting minutes that they wouldn't if there wasn't injuries. The team will continue to battle. When recruiting we try and get players with character that matches our team. Denver is the Toughest team they have played so far. For the Hockey defense they need to take away the passing lanes and got give the opponents easy looks. The upcoming opponent is Robert Morris who is big and they play hard. Our team needs to have some feistyness to them.

20 NOV 2024 · Bubba Schweigert joins Hawk Talk to discuss the previous game against South Dakota. Bubba says that the Missouri Valley Football Conference is a tough league since anyone can win on any Saturday. UND made things close at the end of the game against South Dakota. Big plays have hurt the team all season. UND Needs to figure things out on the road. In order to prevent big plays we need to tackle better. If you give up one big play sometimes it turns into more than just one big play. The team has toughness and pride. Illinois State will be the final game of the season and will not be easy since it's on the road and Illinois State has won some big games.

13 NOV 2024 · Kristen Tupac joined Hawk Talk to give an update on the volleyball team. They finish their regular home season this weekend. They were on the road last week and had great performances against Oral Roberts and Denver. The final home games will be key to focus on us and leave everything on the table. The team also tries to make it to the summit league tournament. Going into Oral Roberts they changed their focus and that had good results.

13 NOV 2024 · Brad Berry joined Hawk Talk to talk about the sweep of Duluth this past weekend. Both UND and UMD have young players and the key for UND is to play consistently. UND Also took too many penalties on Friday night to give Duluth a chance to come back from down 6-0. It was great having Cameron Berg back. Schmaltz and Jamernik are the drivers of the team. Berry then talked about this coming weeks opponent Denver and how they are tough and not to allow them to have time and space. Berry also talked about our goaltender and how he can sometimes be an extra defenseman.

13 NOV 2024 · Bubba Schweigert joins Hawk Talk to talk about the game against South Dakota State where the 2nd quarter was the difference in the game. He also talks about the final home game and the seniors. they are looking to finish strong and make improvements the rest of the season. The football team has 10 redshirt freshmen and they are all still available to play four years. South Dakota comes to the Alerus on Saturday. They have a skilled and athletic quarterback so it's important for us to get a great start.
