Inhumanities is a daily experimental podcast about what happens to the humanities when thought is routed through artificial intelligence.Part research diary, part theory show, part live laboratory, it follows encounters between literature, philosophy, media theory, cybernetics, AI systems, occult mathematics, internet subcultures, and experimental art practice. Episodes begin with a text, image, argument, archive, or technical procedure and push it through contemporary machine-assisted research until something unfamiliar emerges.The emphasis is not “AI explaining the humanities.” It is the stranger feedback loop: humans reading machines, machines reading culture, and both changing the conditions under which interpretation happens.Expect CCRU and the numogram beside Hamlet and theology; agentic workflows beside avant-garde publishing; archival research beside memes, group chats, image systems, and computational experiments.Inhumanities documents the humanities after they have entered the machine.

This episode explores Nerfed Learning, an experimental research framework from Downloads Press built around constraint, recursion, verification, and persistent knowledge. Instead of treating AI as an oracle that produces polished answers on demand, Nerfed Learning breaks research into a sequence of deliberately limited stages: parse the question, orient to the field, investigate specific uncertainties, separate findings from derivations, verify against reality, and package the result for re-entry.Along the way, the episode examines psychological closure, prompt injection and instruction contamination, linked learning, compressed agent handoffs, and the difference between generated fluency and retrieved evidence. It also traces the system’s copyleft philosophy back through the GNU GPL, Richard Stallman, and Creative Commons, arguing that the architecture and its license share the same underlying principle: don’t terminate the lineage—pass it forward.
