20 NOV 2024 · Julie proposes three observations about the election. A full return of the positive masculine depicted in the election of Trump and particularly in his cabinet selections. Secondly she talks about the zigzag process between the left and the right political sentiments and how that's the natural flow between the instincts of warmth versus competence. We discussed how that can be corrupted by unchecked power. Finally we observe that the system works despite the fact that it's taken 40 years and the destructive elements of the various industrial complexes.

So the next question is, now what? Here are some of our most important issues, and a few hopes and dreams for each of them: Continue to expose the truth (and maybe Institute consequences over damages) No new wars! (And stop existing wars, also work some sort of alternative deal with the military industrial complex.) Bring the economy under control, using tools like the budget, federal reserve, and removing collusion with big business. Expose the media when it is not truthful and emphasize the first amendment. (Stop government collusion with news media outlets). Let RFK Junior pursue the medical complex, especially concerning our foods.

8 NOV 2024 · Julie discusses the presentation by Jordan Peterson regarding the Big Five factor personality model and Donald Trump. According to Peterson, and Julie agrees, Trump is extremely extroverted and highly conscientious. Where as Peterson considers him probably agreeable, Julie thinks he is more middle of the road on agreeableness. She believes temperament style and cognitive style derived from the Myers Briggs might also better characterize Trump as an artisan and extremely quick in responding in real time to challenges and opportunities.
She agrees with Peterson that efforts to classify Trump as narcissistic or dictatorial lack validity.

Our society is way to accepting of war in general, and we are too accepting of liars who get us into these wars. Julie reviews some research that suggests people have a pro-Black bias, including those from the Conservative side of the political spectrum. This type of finding complicates issues when it comes to trying to be fair to one group-- without being unfair to another group. The finding is contrary to the idea of oppressors and victims seemingly put forth in Critical Race Theory. We also briefly discuss issues of selection testing.

It does not seem reasonable that a mother would have no rights the day after conception, or that the fetus should have no rights the day before the birth. It makes sense that we should decide as a society a certain point at which the fetus has rights.

We listen to an excerpt of Martin Luther King's "Up to the Mountaintop" speech he gave in Memphis the day before he was assassinated. But free enterprise is an easy target for criticism because it is so accepting of the pursuit for self interest. And as in all systems, it is vulnerable to the bad influences of government collusion.
