13 APR 2021 · Little, fanciful creatures fly light and cheerful in The Inspirational Garden. They are some of the subjects of Arcadia, the new tableware collection from Ginori 1735, devised in collaboration with the fashion designer Orazio Stasi and officially launched on april 12th. An artistic project that, through the fusion of beauty, creativity and craftsmanship, embodies the essence of Ginori, one of the world’s leading brands in the luxury and lifestyle sector since 1735; the expression of Italian excellence in pure porcelain and the highest quality design.
13 APR 2021 · Marion Mailaender works between Paris and Marseille. After training at the Ecole Boulle, this native of Marseille launched her interior architecture and design agency in Paris in 2004. Since then, she has been creating objects as well as stage sets, and producing residential and commercial projects, like her recent design work for the Tuba hotel in Marseille. Her boldness and flair have already entranced many creative figures such as Amélie Pichard, Sophie Calle or the Colombian designer Esteban Cortazar, who have entrusted her with unique projects.
Working by instinct, Marion mingles genres and eras in settings that combine tradition and modernity. Her creativity as well as her sense of detail and materials are invaluable when she turns to the scale of the object. Marion Mailaender continues to search for new forms by associating ideas, mixing styles and eras to activate memories, much of the time with subtle humour. For Life in Vogue, she reinterpreted the fashion editors office.
13 APR 2021 · Spanning fashion and interior design, Vincent Darré makes his homes laboratories of his
bizarre creativity, flirting with surrealism and English eccentricity in a way that channels Jean
Cocteau and Cecil Beaton.
Vincent Darré is a character apart in the world of decoration. First of all, by his origins: he
comes from fashion, where he worked successively at Yves Saint Laurent, Montana, Prada
and Chloé, then as Karl Lagerfeld’s right-hand man at Fendi, and artistic director of
Moschino and Ungaro. He abandoned this career in 2008 to create furnishings and
decorative objects. In a delightful mise-en-scène in Rue du Mont-Thabor in Paris, he began
with a collection called Ossobuco consisting of chairs with backrests in the form of vertebrae
and tables with femurs for legs.
In 2016, he turned a fresh page with the new Maison Darré at 13 Rue Royale, a tribute to the living heritage of the decorative arts. An art of living that Vincent takes very personally and theatrically, referencing an invented past. 13 Rue Royale opened its doors with the new
Renaissance collection, created in collaboration with the great artisans of France. In 2018,
he worked on the décor of the Serpent à Plume, a hybrid space bringing together a coffee
shop, concept store and night bar spread over two levels at 24 Place des Vosges. He was
also commissioned to stage the sale of Ritz furniture at Artcurial, where he transformed the
Hôtel Marcel Dassault into a dream Ritz. For Life in Vogue, he reinterpreted the Director room.
13 APR 2021 · Studiopepe is a design and architecture agency founded in Milan in 2006, by Arianna Lelli Mami and Chiara Di Pinto. Studiopepe’s focus is on research through the use of a multidisciplinary approach: this includes interior design, product design, and creative consultancy. The language they use for their projects is stratified, it combines poetic vision with a strong iconographic identity. Studiopepe deals with international commissioned projects such as retail businesses, hotels and private commissions with a team of 15 professionals comprising architects, interior designers and product designers. Studiopepe’s vision is based on experimenting, continuous research into colours and materials and a fusion with the contemporary language of art. Installations, study of formal archetypes, experiments with materials and the dialogue between opposites are some of the themes developed by the Studio. For Life in Vogue, Studiopepe reinterpreted the meeting room.
13 APR 2021 · Oki Sato is Chief Designer and Founder of nendo. Born in 1977 in Toronto, Canada, he received an M.Arch. from Waseda University, Tokyo, in 2002 and established the design studio “nendo” in the same year. His activity in the design world has not been limited to any one area but is rather multifarious, ranging from graphic and product design to designing furniture, installations, windows, and interiors, and even reaching into the realm of architecture. Chosen by Newsweek magazine as one of “The 100 Most Respected Japanese” he has won many major “Designer of the Year” awards including from Wallpaper* magazine and Elle Decor magazine. Nendo designs can be found in the Museum of Modern Art in New York, as well as the Musée des Arts Décoratifs and the Centre Pompidou in Paris. For lIfe in Vogue nendo reinterpreted the graphic room.
13 APR 2021 · Luke Edward Hall is a London-based artist and designer. His romantic aesthetic is informed by a love of history, an appreciation of beauty and a sense of playfulness. Hall established his studio in the autumn of 2015 and since then has worked on a broad range of commissions, from interior design and fashion projects to murals and illustrations for books, restaurants and hotels. He has collaborated with a variety of companies and institutions including Burberry, Lanvin, Christie’s, the Royal Academy of Arts, Ginori 1735, Svenskt Tenn and Habitat. Hall has exhibited his drawings, paintings and ceramics in London, Stockholm and the United States. His third solo exhibition opened in Athens in January 2021. In March 2019 he joined the Financial Times as a weekly columnist in FT Weekend, answering readers’ questions on aesthetics, interior design and stylish living. September 2019 saw the issue of Hall’s first book, Greco Disco: The Art & Design of Luke Edward Hall, published by teNeues. In the autumn of 2020 Hall’s first large interior design and art direction project opened in Paris: a thirty-three-bedroom hotel and bistro in the city’s 10th arrondissement. Luke Edward Hall is currently working on his second book, new exhibitions and various interior design projects. For Life in Vogue he reinterpreted the room of the Art Director
13 APR 2021 · Born in London, Anna Karlin attended Central St. Martins School and Glasgow School of Art. Trained in visual communication, she is a self-taught product designer. Her work also encompasses projects in print, art direction, fashion shows, interiors and a fine jewelry collection. This alchemic approach to design led her to launch her Furniture + Fine Objects Collection and she is now represented internationally by a network of design galleries and works with leading interior designers and architects to place her pieces in some of the most prestigious buildings internationally. She believes strongly that all forms of design should tell a story and that all disciplines contribute wonderfully to each other, hence no one area should remain untouched. Her studio practice, Anna Karlin Furniture + Fine Objects, and Anna Karlin Fine Jewelry, are the result of this sensibility. Karlin currently lives and works in New York, USA. For Life in Vogue she interpreted the Vogue Talents room.
