Major Pulido's story of courage has been featured in Time Magazine, Fox News, CNN and countless television stations and newspapers. On August 17th, 2004, Major Pulido hit an improvised explosive device (IED) or roadside bomb while serving a combat tour in Iraq. He was training the new Iraqi Army. Major Pulido suffered extensive injuries to his left knee, and doctors amputated his left leg on October 1st, 2004.
Since, his amputation, Major Pulido has been a staunch advocate for veterans and individuals with disabilities.

He endured 17 operations, numerous hospital stays, amputation of his left leg, rehabilitative sessions and a diagnosis of traumatic brain injury with post-traumatic stress. Major Ed has since used his experience and faith to positively impact the world through motivational speaking, philanthropy and fundraising.
