21 JUN 2024 · Eric Estrada is currently incarcerated in California State Prison, Corcoran. He is serving a life sentence without the possibility of parole. I was recently able to talk with Eric about his life growing up in a gang, the death of his brother at a young age and how that ultimately lead him to a life in prison.
Eric made a dramatic change in his life in 2012 when he left his old lifestyle to focus on religion. Since then Eric has facilitated and stated many programs inside the prison including his own podcast called Change-Talk. Â Â Â

I was recently able to talk to Jon about his own journey from bringing a gun to his high school at the age of 16 to spending 17 years in prison. After his release from prison in 2020 he began speaking publicly about gun violence and the youth mental health crisis.
