A modest Sabin Barto does not talk much about his service in the US Navy over the past ten years. During his post-military career he sells Florida real estate, writes children's books, and develops a website dedicated to protecting the Everglades. Although he seems like a pretty nice guy, his neighbors and friends say he's the real-life Captain America with the strength and courage of a superhero. It seems as if Captain America's heroic deeds always take effect on the 4th of July, or within minutes of being initiated.

28 JUN 2022 · Rock Springs resident Sabin Barto will receive an award in Florida this week for pulling an unconscious man to safety after a car accident.
The Abe Schneider Award is an award given by the St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office, which includes St. Augustine and Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla. Barto has a home in Ponte Vedra Beach at the Sawgrass Golf and Country Club.
Barto was raised in Rock Springs and is currently in Wyoming helping his mother, who works full-time and also has custody of his 5-year-old niece.
