5 JUN 2020 · In this episode, we discuss the racial tension and police brutality that is occurring during a pandemic. In this current climate, black lives are being killed, traumatized and hurting. We talk about the injustice of black lives that were murdered due to police brutality and how the “All lives matter” saying is trying to drown out the voices of the Black Lives Matter movement.
We provide a 3 in 1 perspective of being black women, believers and mental health advocates. We breakdown how the recent events are independently and collectively impacting the Black community, mental health and the church. We address the issues and needs at hand without putting a Jesus band-aid over it. We acknowledge the gospel and its purpose, but also do not turn the eye for the injustices and bloodshed that is taking place.
From protesting, advocating, and coping we provide some useful tips and skills to promote compassion, support, empathy, understanding and self-care during these painful and tumultuous times.
11 MAY 2020 · In this week’s episode we get personal and discuss betrayal trauma in the church. We previously touched on church hurt and how broad it can be, so we specify the root of some things and we take off the gloves this episode 👏🏽🙆🏽♀️
We breakdown what betrayal trauma is and how it plays out in the church and the affects it can have on the (believer). The purpose is to bring to light the patterns of abuse and bad leadership signs that occur within the church and to recognize it.
Brooke, Zoe, Ciara and Bri all share their personally linked experiences with betrayal trauma in a ministry they were members of. We openly discuss how the betrayal directly and indirectly impact us and our walks individually and collectively! Tune in as it gets a little rocky and real.

13 APR 2020 · In this episode we address how sensitive it can be to deal and interact with people during particular hardships in their life and how faith is meant to be the ultimate source, sometimes a persons approach and interaction can impact this process as well. Brooke opens up this episode to touch on her experience of loss, faith, and what meeting her where she was at looked like for her. We have discussed confrontation, and hurt, but meeting someone where they are at is particular selfless and special dying to self process. Hold their hand in this process and don’t let go because it looks different for everyone. Sit with me. Can we do that?
