17 AUG 2019 · August 2019 Patchwork Quilt & More -- This podcast is comparable to a patchwork quilt – it’s made up of different chats and pieces of music. I talk to JESS of MUDBUGS - at approx 13:40 minutes into the recording - who attends Ballyconnell Cottage Market every month with varying Mud Bug themes to entertain the young ones. She’s also available for home workshops or other events. Then I chat to KIRSTEN of STUDIO 8 at approx 17:15 minutes - I talk to two lovely German Ladies MARIKA and EILEEN at 25:10 minutes approx. who attended school here for a year as exchange students. At approx. 37:30 minutes I recall a chat with the Proprietoress of TREAT TO EAT CAFÉ. I finish with a short chat with ELEONORA at approx. 40:11 minutes who was showcasing her Therapy called Yumeiho Therapy at Ballyconnell Fair Day. Her number is 087-410 5469 if you’d like to find out more. The songs were recorded at a Ballyconnell -Kildallan Church Volunteer night out and illustrate what talent is slumbering in people here in Cavan.( Included is a Killashandra song ) For that reason alone it is well worth listening to the whole show. I have no names to the individual Artists so maybe someone will be able to identify one or the other or maybe themselves. You can follow Belturbet Erne Radio on facebook and Twitter
7 AUG 2018 · Here's a little audio coverage of Ballyconnell Fair day on Saturday August 4th. I speak to young Beekeepers, to Kevin Taylor of Brandywell Pub, to Entrepreneurs of Purple Heather coffee "Horse Box" , to Vicky of Wolf Gardens herbal beauty products, to Miriam of Mammy's Croà and to David of Food Fun - all in that order ... Most, if not all of them are contactable on social media and are welcome to leave their details here in a comment. Special thanks and Happy Birthday to Irene who was with me on the day.
26 OCT 2017 · Here’s a short ‘n sweet little show featuring the Active Retirement Cake Sale recently in the Church Street Centre in aid of St Christopher’s Cancer Care. WELL DONE all concerned.
