8 OCT 2026 · Is the Holy Spirit waiting to do for you all that Jesus would do if He were here on earth? In session three of the A.W. Tozer Classic Sermon Series, Matt Hepner and TopLobsta read and react to Tozer's message "The Presence and Ministry of the Holy Spirit: All That Jesus Would Be!"
Working from John 14:15-17 and 14:26, Tozer warns that a church can organize, hire a pastor, form a choir and keep turning the crank without the Holy Spirit, and nobody notices for years. Matt and TopLobsta talk through the modern church model of announcements, five songs and a speech, fellowship that has become a social club with a mild religious flavor, and the "religious toys and trifles" churches now depend on.
Then Tozer answers the big question: who is the Holy Spirit? He is not enthusiasm, courage or energy. He is a Person with will, intelligence and love, who can be grieved, quenched and ignored. Spirit is another mode of being that can penetrate matter and personality (1 Corinthians 2:11-12). The hosts dig into Peter's shadow, Paul's handkerchiefs, Nicodemus coming by night, speaking in tongues, and why the Holy Spirit must be Lord or He will not come at all. Tozer walks through the Nicene and Athanasian Creeds, then demands chapter and verse from Scripture: Job 26:13, Job 33:4, 2 Corinthians 3:17 and 2 Corinthians 13:14.
The episode closes on the heart of the message: the Holy Spirit is exactly like Jesus, gracious, loving, kind and gentle, and because He loves us, He can be grieved. If you've ever wondered what real Spirit-filled living looks like beyond Sunday hype, this one is for you.

7 OCT 2026 · Why is the preaching of the cross foolishness? 1 Corinthians 1:18-2:8 (KJV): the cross is foolishness to them that perish, but the power of God to us which are saved.
1 Corinthians Part 2 (Corinthians for Dummies) with Matt Hepner and the Raven: Christ crucified versus the wisdom of this world.
Matt and the Raven pick up after Part 1 with a Blue Letter Bible look at "beseech" in 1 Corinthians 1:10, then turn to the preaching of the cross. They walk through God destroying the wisdom of the wise, Jews who require a sign and Greeks who seek after wisdom, and why not many wise, mighty, or noble are called. God chose the foolish things of the world to confound the wise, so that he that glorieth should glory in the Lord. In chapter 2, Paul determines to know nothing among them but Jesus Christ, and him crucified, so their faith would stand in the power of God, not the wisdom of men.

6 OCT 2026 · What does "seek ye first the kingdom of God" mean? In Matthew 6:31-34 Jesus answers worry about food, drink and clothing with one command: but seek.
Sermon on the Mount Pt 29: Matt Hepner and TopLobsta finish Matthew 6, where everything else is just luggage for a pilgrim and a stranger.
We pick up at 2 Timothy 1:9 and the love of money in 1 Timothy 6:7-10, then Jesus' easy yoke in Matthew 11:28-30. Matthew 6:33 is the answer to the worry: why God hides himself (Isaiah 45:15), why it is the glory of God to conceal a thing (Proverbs 25:2), and why he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him (Hebrews 11:6). Then Simeon and Anna in Luke 2, take no thought for the morrow (Matthew 6:34), "is not the life more?", life as a vapour (James 4:14), pilgrims and strangers (1 Peter 2:11, Hebrews 11:13-16) and teach us to number our days (Psalm 90:12). Next, the series moves into Matthew 7.

6 OCT 2026 · Why did Jesus call Simon Peter a rock? In John 1:42 Jesus looks at an unstable fisherman and says, "thou shalt be called Cephas," a stone.
The Great Physician, G. Campbell Morgan Sermon Breakdown: Matt Hepner and TopLobsta read Morgan's chapter on Simon Peter.
Morgan calls Peter an "elemental man": a questioner with real intellect, deep emotion and tremendous willpower, and yet a weak man, lacking the one thing that welds those elements into strength. We follow how Jesus dealt with him: Andrew brings Simon, Jesus looks through him and renames him, then four crises (the hard sayings of John 6, Caesarea Philippi, the Transfiguration and the upper room), the look after the denial, the private appearance after the resurrection, and Pentecost, where Peter finally stands as rock. Plus Morgan's Westminster story: "I know someone who does believe in you."

Original episode: https://www.spreaker.com/episode/how-has-god-spoken-to-us-by-his-son-hebrews-1-1-4-hebrews-w-otis-fowler-pt-1--72703809
How has God spoken to us by His Son? Hebrews 1:1-4: God spoke by the prophets, but in these last days by His Son, the express image of His person.
Hebrews w/ Otis Fowler Pt 1, with Otis Fowler, Matt Hepner and TopLobsta.
"God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets, Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds" (Hebrews 1:1-2). Otis explains why he reads the NASB 1995, then reads Hebrews 1:1-4.
Hebrews was written to believers under persecution, and the book sets the old covenant beside the new: grace and truth came by Jesus Christ (John 1:17), and God cut a covenant with Abram (Genesis 15). "The express image of his person" (Hebrews 1:3) is like a stamp on wax, not the moon reflecting the sun. Jesus says "Before Abraham was, I am" (John 8:58), "I and my Father are one" (John 10:30) and "he that hath seen me hath seen the Father" (John 14:9).
Also covered: the first and the last (Isaiah 44; Revelation 1), heaven meted out with the span (Isaiah 40:12), "the brightness of his glory," the only begotten Son, modalism and the Trinity, "upholding all things by the word of his power," "the image of the invisible God" (Colossians 1:15-20), one sacrifice for sins (Hebrews 10:11-12), and an outline of the whole book.
Questions answered

- What does "only begotten" mean? (1:01:07)
- What is modalism? (1:04:15)
- What is the outline of the book of Hebrews? (1:30:51)

4 OCT 2026 · Why is the church so divided? 1 Corinthians 1:1-17 (KJV): Paul greets a gifted church, then confronts the divisions tearing it apart.
1 Corinthians Part 1 (Corinthians for Dummies) with Matt Hepner and the Raven: a slow, conversational read through Paul's opening chapter.
Matt and the Raven start with Paul, called to be an apostle by Jesus and not by any institution, and the saints at Corinth. They ask why grace comes before peace, why Paul thanks God for people before he corrects them, and what it means to be called unto the fellowship of God's Son. Then they reach Chloe's report of "I am of Paul... I of Apollos" and ask what Paul's warning means for a church split by denominations, and why he would not preach with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ be made of none effect.
Primary passage: 1 Corinthians 1:1-17 (KJV)

30 SEP 2026 · What is the root cause of anxiety? From Matthew 6:24-34 (KJV): you cannot serve God and mammon, and serving mammon only feeds anxiety.
Sermon on the Mount Part 28 with Matt Hepner and TopLobsta: "take no thought" means take no anxiety. Do the work, then, having done all, stand (Ephesians 6:13).

The birds of the air work every day and the lilies of the field can only stand, yet God feeds and clothes both. Matt walks through working heartily as unto the Lord, clean hands and a pure heart, and David's mighty men standing their ground, and shows why your heavenly Father, not mammon, is the provider. Then come the great "stand still" moments: Moses at the Red Sea, Peter asleep in chains, Hannah's prayer, and 2 Timothy 1:7: "God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind."

29 SEP 2026 · Carnal eyes or spiritual eyes? Matthew 6:22-23 (KJV): "The light of the body is the eye," and "the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God."
Sermon on the Mount Pt 24, hosted by Matt Hepner with Raven.
Matt and Raven pick up from John 9:39 and the fall in Genesis 3, where "the eyes of them both were opened" and they saw with carnal eyes. Then they read Matthew 6:19-24 and pray Paul's prayer, "The eyes of your understanding being enlightened" (Ephesians 1:18). "The commandment of the LORD is pure, enlightening the eyes" (Psalm 19:8). In 1 Corinthians 1-2, "the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God" (1 Corinthians 1:18). "The natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God," but "we have the mind of Christ" (1 Corinthians 2:14, 16).
Along the way: tree-of-life vs tree-of-knowledge issues and why believers divide over end-times charts, Moses choosing "rather to suffer affliction with the people of God, than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season" and enduring "as seeing him who is invisible" (Hebrews 11:25, 27), David's "Mine eyes are ever toward the LORD" (Psalm 25:15), and Peter walking on the water until he saw the wind (Matthew 14:30).
Questions answered
• What is the difference between carnal eyes and spiritual eyes? (7:29)
• Why is the cross foolishness to those who perish? (10:08)
• What does "the natural man receiveth not" mean? (56:51)

27 SEP 2026 · What does "In the beginning" mean in Genesis 1-2 (KJV)? Thomas "Paranoid American" reads Genesis on its own terms, with Hebrew wordplay, gematria and hard questions.
Straight Bible Interview Sessions with Thomas "Paranoid American," hosted by Matt Hepner and TopLobsta.
This is the start of a book-by-book run through the Bible with Thomas of Paranoid American Comics, working through Genesis 1 and 2 read aloud from the King James. Thomas read Genesis as if it were the only book in front of him; Matt and TopLobsta answer from the rest of Scripture and keep coming back to one point: knowing God matters more than winning a doctrine fight.
Topics include whether God is limited to three dimensions, whether it matters if Genesis is literal history, sola scriptura and the Book of Enoch, what the word "in" implies in "In the beginning," tohu va bohu and Isaiah 45:18 ("he created it not in vain"), gematria, the Bible code and the golden ratio, the Spirit moving on the waters, Adam and adamah, light before the sun, the greater and lesser lights, the pattern of sevens, the image of God, "after his kind," two creation accounts, the Sabbath ("made for man," Mark 2:27), man becoming a living soul, naming the animals, Eve from the rib, the two trees, and whether "the fall" and original sin are in Genesis. Next time: Genesis 3.
