12 DEC 2024 · We're wrapping up our series on the Angels of Christmas today, reading from Luke, 2:1-24. Oh, it's the greatest story ever, and you know, if the angels appeared to you right now at your home or at your workplace, and the shepherds were working that night, their message to you would be the same. Do not be afraid. Christ has come. If you're scared, the Bible says He holds you in the palm of His hand and no one can snatch you out of it. And if you're lonely, especially this Christmas, the Bible says He will never leave you or forsake you, and that He will be with you until the end of the age. So, this Christmas, that's where you're gonna find Christ... right beside you. He is mighty to save. Your Savior the same yesterday, today, and forever. You are loved.

You and I might have even experienced this and just not know it. The Bible says, be careful who you entertain for some have entertained angels without knowing it. Isn't that cool to think about? 10 DEC 2024 · Don't be afraid. Let those words soak into your heart today. The angels said them often when appearing to humans in the Bible. We are smack dab in the middle of a series called, Do Not Be Afraid, The Angels of Christmas. Last time, we met Zechariah and Gabriel, Elizabeth's angel. He came to tell Zechariah that he was going be a dad and Elizabeth was going to be a mom. Being old, this was especially good news for Elizabeth, who felt that God had been kind to her after waiting so long for her dream to be realized, of having a child. Beginning in verse 26, in the sixth month of Elizabeth's pregnancy, God sent the angel Gabriel to Nazareth, a village in Galilee to a virgin named Mary. Let's pick it up here!

6 DEC 2024 · We're taking a deep dive into Psalm 63 today. Written by King David, we find a man who messed up in his life but picked himself back up and said to God, "I'm sorry." He found the grace that he was seeking, and you can too. He was a man after God's own heart. You can be a person after God's own heart. You're never going to be perfect. The idea is to keep seeking Jesus, to keep walking with Him and encountering His love and compassion in your life. Seek Jesus and you will find His love and compassion in everyday life. Jesus' love and sacrifice for humanity is what Christmas is all about. He came into this world to save the world. To save you.

3 DEC 2024 · We've been talking about the kings and how they saw that star in the east, that first Christmas long ago. They knew that if they followed that star, it would lead them to the Son of God, the king of kings, the Lord of Lords. If you are hungry and thirsty to know God, to know that he has a purpose for your life and that you were made on purpose, He will satisfy your hunger. He will give you the Water, the Living Water that Jesus talks about in a dry and weary land. If you search for Jesus, you are going to find him. That is a promise from God, and it's for you.

28 NOV 2024 · We are at the end of the Giving Thanks series as we pick it up in Jonah chapter two, beginning in verse one. Jonah is now inside the belly of the whale. Imagine for a moment what that smelled like. I imagine it's kind of like Pinocchio. Do you remember the big whale Monstro? That swallowed Geppetto and Pinocchio, and maybe the little Cleo, the fish and the little cat. Remember how it was almost as like there was like a sea inside the fish, filled with little tiny fish? It's crazy. What was it like inside the belly of that whale? We can only imagine. But this is how Jonah responds.
