My faith didn’t fall apart—it outgrew the framework I was given.
I started as a Bible-alone, non-denominational Christian with a real hunger for truth. I believed Scripture was enough—and that everything else was man-made tradition. But over time, questions started stacking up.
Why do sincere, Spirit-filled believers read the same Bible and come to completely different conclusions? And why does Church history feel like an afterthought in the very faith that preserved the Scriptures?
The Crossheirs is where I started asking those questions honestly—not to win arguments, but to understand what’s actually true.
The kind of questions that challenged my assumptions, exposed blind spots, and forced me to reexamine traditions I was taught to avoid—especially the Catholic Church.
Today, I’m a Catholic Christian—but this podcast isn’t a highlight reel of perfect theology. It’s a real journey. Some episodes capture the early stages of my walk, before I had answers. Series: Not Against Flesh and Blood – Ep. 1 Episode Description: Was the Church of Christ hijacked by Rome after Constantine? Or is that just a popular myth used to prop up modern interpretations? In this premiere episode of Not Against Flesh and Blood, we tackle one of the most common (and misleading) narratives in anti-Catholic circles—the claim that true Christianity disappeared after the 4th century. We explore the Council of Nicaea, the role of Constantine, the Arian controversy, and what the early Church actually believed. We also ask:

This isn’t a story of abandoning the Bible or walking away from faith. It’s a story of adding to what I already believed, not replacing it. I explore why “sola scriptura” wasn’t enough, how the early Church kept drawing me in, and why tradition doesn’t compete with Scripture—it completes it. You’ll hear how I wrestled with misconceptions, examined history, and found that the Church Christ established has been building, brick by brick, ever since. If you’ve ever felt like something was missing in your faith, or wondered whether going “deeper” means going “backwards,” this episode is for you.

Perhaps the most infamous feud in the history of the U.S., the The Hatfield–McCoy conflict is now an icon of American folklore. The Hatfields, of West Virginia, were led by William Anderson "Devil Anse" Hatfield. The McCoys, of Kentucky, were under the leadership of Randolph "Ole Ran'l" McCoy.
