Leading the bunch is the one and only Mimi Torchin who led the magazine for 11 years. Joining Mimi are Managing Editor Kate Walsh, News Editor Gabby Winkel and editors Jonathan Reiner, Mark McGarry, and Travis Kinsey.   • Celebrating Mother's Day with Kaitlin and Jordi Vilasuso

    27 JUN 2024 · We celebrated Mother’s Day with real life husband and wife duo, Jordi and Kaitlin Vilasuso. Jordi and Kaitlin are the parents of three beautiful girls, Riley (11), Everly (7) and almost six-month old Lucy, who was hospitalized back in January with RSV. We will hear what Mother’s Day is like in the Vilasuso household from these very busy parents and what they each learned from their own moms. 24 years ago this August, Jordi made his debut as Tony Santos on Guiding Light winning a Daytime Emmy Award in 2003 for Outstanding Younger Actor. Jordi will look back on his time working in Springfield, Pine Valley, Salem, and Genoa City. He will also tell us about the new digital drama series, The Blvd which he stars in alongside Vincent Irizarry and Adam Huss.     20 JUN 2024 · Emmy Award-winner Kevin Spirtas sat down in The Locher Room to discuss the final season of his Emmy winning series, After Forever (Amazon Prime). A story about love, loss, and new beginnings, Season One made history by becoming the first LGBTQ-themed drama series to win six Emmy Awards across any platform. Kevin will look back at his 40-year career that began at 18 on Broadway in A Chorus Line. He is most recognized for his eight-year stint as Dr. Craig Wesley on Days of Our Lives well as the cult classic film sequels: Friday the 13th – Part VII: The New Blood, and Wes Craven’s: The Hills Have Eyes – Part II. Before departing DOOL in 2000, Kevin had the great opportunity to play his Days character opposite Matt LeBlanc’s ‘Dr. Drake Ramory’ on Friends: The One That Could Have Been- Part 1. Bill went back to school and earned his graduate degree in Psychology from Pepperdine University and is currently specializing in Marriage and Family Therapy.   • Disney Animation Legend Andreas Deja

    4 JUN 2024 · Disney Animation Legend Andreas Deja sat down for a one-on-one interview to tell us all about his 10-year labor of love, Mushka. Mushka is a short film told in exquisite and stylish hand-drawn animation by this director and animator. Mushka is the emotional and exciting story of a young girl named Sarah and her unlikely friendship with a tiger cub. The film is Andreas’s directorial debut. Mushka, created in the 2-D style of 101 Dalmatians is his homage to classic Disney animation. Andreas is a Polish-born American animator/director, most noted for his 30-year career at Walt Disney Animation Studios. His work includes supervising animation on characters in many Disney animated films, including villains Gaston in Beauty and the Beast, Jafar in Aladdin, and Scar in The Lion King, and the titular character in Hercules, and Lilo, in Lilo & Stitch. He credits seeing Disney's The Jungle Book with inspiring him to become an animator. Deja’s 10-year labor of love. Hear from this talented Disney Legend right here in The Locher Room.
