These companies create the illusion of job opportunities to attract more applicants and maintain a facade of growth and success. A recent survey from a resume builder has confirmed that many job listings are in fact fake or do not accurately represent the positions available.

The investigations and convictions  are severe, with individuals facing hefty fines and potentially long prison sentences.  It is clear that this issue is not going away anytime soon, and those who abused the system will continue in the pursued. The use of prison labor in America has sparked controversy and outrage, with many arguing that it is nothing short of modern-day slavery. In an eye-opening investigation by the Associated Press, they detail how American prisons are utilizing inmates as cheap and inexpensive contracted labor. These prisoners and their labor supply products to some of America's most popular companies, including fast-food restaurants, grocery stores, and large retail chains.
