In-depth, intimate interviews with some of the best storytellers alive today.
9 JAN 2019 · It's our pleasure to welcome Ginger Hoesly back on the show! She is here to discuss her new project, Moon Man, a charity zine in support of the Glasgow School of Art (a zine which you should absolutely submit your art to). However, this episode is not an interview.
Instead, Ginger, MH, and I will discuss the world of charity anthologies and zines, as well as ways to make your project a success, and be helpful as an author, artist, or editor. If this is a subject that interests you: don't miss it - right after this break.
What is Moon Man? Allow Ginger to explain.
"'Moon Man' is a zine celebrating the so-far career of Peter Capaldi, being a visual anthology of his roles from 1982 to present day. It is currently in the application phase for artists."
Apply soon! Applications to submit end January 14th!

16 JUN 2018 · Double the Charity Fanzines, Double the Fun
In the discussion, Sophie Iles speaks about her upcoming Ian and Barbara-themed zine Mild Curiosities, which supports Breast Cancer Now. James and Ben pick her brain about what she'd like to see in submissions, Ian and Barbara's role in the show, and the mysterious Johnny Chess. It opens for submissions soon! Soph gives hints on the kind of stories and art she wants to see.

Then it's the return of one of our favorite guests, Kara Dennison. Lovecraftian space opera? Yes, please! Retellings of Edgar Allan Poe stories starring yourself? Yes, please! News on Owl's Flower #3? At last, like water in the desert! The Perennial Miss Wildthymeand the girl Ben believes is Kara's grandmother! (Will every episode she's on have a genelogical reveal about Kara?)
And news about The Hybrid charity zine run by Ginger Hoesly, which focuses on the 12th Doctor and Clara. What submissions do they still need? How can you get involved? Listen to find out!

All this, and MH sounds suspiciously hoarse.

14 MAY 2018 · In a extra-length discussion, Kara Dennison joins Ben & James to discuss live-action (and generally American) anime adaptions. Why is Ghost in the Shell a remake and a sequel? Why were any of the Avatar: The Last Airbender choices made? How did Dragonball Evolution happen and does the scriptwriter's apology make up for it? Why does Erased condense the bulk of the anime into two episodes? Why, Death Note, why? The hosts don't have answers.
C.L. Werner is interviewed about his Cryptid Clash novella The Himalayan Horror, the legacy of the Gurkha, and his recent and upcoming Black Library fiction. As well as his story in the coolest-titled magazine, Tales from the Magician's Skull, and his unexpected eight-legged roomate.
