Hit Man is the story of Gary Johnson played by Glen Powell, a mild mannered professor of psychology and philosophy at the University of New Orleans. Around this time he jumps on a dating app and ends up on a date with Nicole Matthews, played by Lucy Hale. Nicole has also just adopted a dog, named Channing Tatum.
