Who is Steele Croswhite?
Signing his first record deal at the age of 21, Steele Croswhite began his career as the lead vocalist, songwriter, and guitarist for the acclaimed rock band Silvercrush. While the group earned Billboard chart success and toured with artists like Sheryl Crow, Foo Fighters, and Maroon 5, Croswhite’s life was falling apart. He drifted from his Christian upbringing, lured by the trappings of fame and reeling from his father’s untimely death. Encouraged by his sister to visit the church she was attending, Croswhite experienced the true grace of Jesus Christ and rededicated his life to the Lord. Today, he serves as a pastor and worship leader at The Rock Church, a suburban Salt Lake City congregation on a mission to share the Hope and grace of Christ in Utah—a state with among the fewest Bible-believing Christians in the country. 2 Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.
Bethel Music Worship Leader, Brian Johnson, is our guest on this week’s episode of The Walk; a devotionals podcast for worshippers. His call to get back to the basics and his transparency about his personal struggles will be a true encouragement to all of those who listen. He challenges us, through Revelation 4, to “come up here” and elevate the way we think about the difficulties of life.

Who is Brian Johnson?
Brian Johnson is a co-founder of Bethel Music and Bethel Music Worship School, headquartered in Redding, California. He is also a musician, songwriter, singer, speaker, and author. Brian has been an executive producer and songwriter for over 16 albums by Bethel Music and has written and been a part of “Forever”, “No Longer Slaves”, “Ever Be”, and “God I Look to You”, anthem songs that have been sung by the global church. Jaime Jamgochian: Back to Basics - Worshipping in Spirit and Truth
6 MAR 2023 · There’s no question that humans love to overcomplicate things. We do it in relationships, in our work, and in our striving for material wealth and success, but, as Jaime Jamgochian points out in this great episode of The Walk, we also overcomplicate our worship time.
Simplicity in worship isn’t just a catchphrase or the latest fad, it’s the way the Lord would want us to approach him. The phrase Jaime references of “in spirit and truth” is from John 4 when Jesus is talking to the woman at the well and he says,
“23 But the hour is coming, and is now here, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for the Father is seeking such people to worship him. 24 God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth.”
Jesus was referring to the fact that, because of him, there’s no longer a need to worship at a temple and through a priest. Anyone can worship anywhere in the right spirit, or the correct heart posture, and with truth, or understanding and being in agreement with the gospel message as truth.
Jaime’s call to simplicity can be a great practical reminder of the fact that all we need is an understanding of the gospel message and a heart focused on God and we can worship anywhere and anytime.

Who is Jaime Jamgochian? Sitting down to talk with worship artist Jaime Jamgochian you quickly realize she is a woman of faith who God is using in many different ways through her music and message. It’s immediately evident she has a passion to see people know how much God loves them and a desire to see that reality change their lives—because it has changed hers.
Jaime came to know the Lord at 21 while studying music at Berklee College of Music in Boston. God completely changed her life and it is her greatest desire to see people encounter Jesus in a real way.
From Boston, Jaime ended up in Seattle where she was a worship leader for several years and began writing her own worship songs. It was during that time in Seattle that Jaime signed with Centricity Records and went on to record 3 albums with them. She then moved to Nashville, TN which she still calls home, and continues to travel throughout the US and internationally leading people in worship, singing songs of hope, and sharing a message of finding your value and purpose in Christ.

David Funk: A Wound From The Holy Spirit
27 FEB 2023 · It’s encouraging when someone is able to recognize when their gifting is from above. We’re to use what God has given us to glorify God and not ourselves.
John 15:5 (ESV): I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing.
In this devotional podcast, David Funk, who is a member of the Bethel Collective and featured on the latest Bethel Music album Come Up Here, brings a great word that reflects on the importance of never creating an idol out of what you do.
This topic of worshipping the gift over worshipping the Father who gave us the gift isn’t a new issue, but in this age of secular humanism and the emphasis on self-fulfillment without God, it’s an important message we should never tire of hearing. We encourage you to pray Psalms 139 over yourself daily in a posture of repentance in order to ensure you are fully aligned with the Father and pointing the glory back to him.

20 FEB 2023 · On today's episode of The Walk our guest is Christian Hip Hop artist Lecrae. His music has been a blessing to millions of people and though he’s not considered a traditional “worship leader,” we felt it was important to add his voice to our podcast. Besides, who are we to define what “worship” is? We’ll be platforming a lot of different voices going forward and we’re excited to expand our focus on those out there that would consider themselves to be “worshipers.”
In this episode, Lecrae tells the story of his tumultuous journey to a deep level of faith in God. Growing up as a non-believer, once he became born again, other believers not representing God well caused his faith to falter. As a part of Lecrae’s story, he fell into disenfranchisement with God due to those around him and their negative influence.
But God wasn’t done with Lecrae and the story of how he came back to an even deeper level of faith is inspiring. There’s never a day when we don’t need to be constantly reminded of God’s love for us and this great devotional podcast is today’s reminder.

Who is Lecrae?
Before the Grammys, before releasing the #1 Album in the country (Anomaly, 2014), Lecrae dropped arguably the most seminal project in his catalog, Church Clothes. XXL said, “It’s impressive how he’s able to deliver a message without being preachy”, calling Church Clothes “a prime example of the reach of hip-hop music and culture.” The people spoke even louder downloading the project 100,000 times in 48 hours. Calvin Nowell: Turning Your Mess Into Your Message

We’re so proud to put this out in honor of all of those who struggle with the weight of sin. It’s time for us all to put that sin at the altar and move past it, one step at a time.
His scripture reference of Hebrews 12 is such a powerful reminder that, like Jesus, we all need to choose to run the race with endurance and through repentence, prayer, and the support of others, we really can lay down our weight and RUN! He endured the cross for us to be able to set aside our sin. Praise the Lord.

Charity Gayle: Don't Grieve What You Haven't Lost
23 JAN 2023 · We love nothing more than when our guests share stories of how they’ve grown in their faith even if those stories cover situations not widely talked about. The pressure on women to be married by a certain age is still a real thing in our churches and Charity Gayle’s wonderful testimony has all of us contemplating how we can grow in contentment.
Charity is known for a lot of amazing songs right now that include I Speak Jesus, Thank You Jesus For The Blood, and We Need A Miracle, but we’ve known Charity for almost a decade when she first hit the Song Discovery stage singing the songs that the Holy Spirit gave to her. We know her heart to be pure and we couldn’t be more thrilled to see how her voice has been amplified. She’s a person worth listening to because she truly lives out her faith.

Who is Charity Gayle?
Charity houses a powerful voice that has a fresh yet reminiscent sound. She loves the Lord with fierce faith and was raised in a home full of worship and has been involved in ministry since she was a child. Growing up in Buffalo, NY, Charity was a part of a culture that thrives in the spirit of unity while celebrating diversity. Surrounded by worship and the Word, her love for praising Jesus through music grew as she did. One of her favorite things growing up was watching her mom direct choir at Thursday night choir practice and by the age of 16, she was directing multiple choirs herself. “I love harmonies in gospel music. I think about Heaven being full of every type of voice from every nation, finding their part and praising God at the top of their lungs together around the Throne.”
She spent two years in Nashville in 2014 and 2015 where she fell more in love with the art of writing songs for the church. Focusing on bridging the gap between worship and gospel music, she has authored songs like ‘Amen’ ‘Psalm 100 (Enter In), Cleansed and ‘New Name Written Down in Glory’. Her first record, ‘Lord, You are my Song, debuted at #1 in the Christian and gospel genre in January 2018. She recently released her sophomore album ‘Endless Praise’ in Sept. 2021, featuring the song ‘Thank You Jesus for the Blood’ also debuting at #1.
Most recently, Charity received a Dove Award for the song ‘Benediction (As You Go)’ on Selah’s record, “Firm Foundation”.
Charity lives and leads worship with her husband, Ryan Kennedy. They are cultivating a movement for 24-hour prayer and worship called GatherHouse, and are continuing to write and spread the gospel in the US and globally.

Who is Patrick Mayberry?
Cookeville, Tennessee native Patrick Mayberry first fell in love with worship music at a Passion conference in 2006. Twelve years later the worship leader, singer, guitarist and songwriter signed his first publishing deal with Centricity Publishing (publishing home of Lauren Daigle, Jordan Feliz, Katy Nichole, etc.), and recorded and released his independent EP, Joy, followed by Live In My Living Room in 2019. Along with Centricity Publishing, Centricity Music (record label) caught the vision of Patrick’s artistry and signed him as an artist as well, which led to the release of his EP Holy Spirit Come in 2021. The title track hit the Top 15 at Christian radio, and recently the Top 200 on CCLI’s Top 2,000 US chart; and “Breakthrough Miracle Power” made a significant splash as well. This launched Patrick into his first two nationwide tours in 2022 - the Songs & Stories Tour with Cory Asbury and the My People Tour (along with Crowder, We The Kingdom, Anne Wilson and more). Mayberry is currently in the studio recording songs for his next project to be released in 2023.
In addition to writing and recording his own music, Patrick has penned songs that have been recorded by Passion, Josh Baldwin, David Leonard, Chris Renzema, Mack Brock, Pat Barrett, North Point Worship, among others. He’s also garnered sync placements with T-Mobile, NBA, the “TODAY” show and more. Mayberry, his wife Jenny, and their four children live in Franklin, Tennessee.
