Writer Mark Wooden plays some tunes to show how music sets the mood in movies and TV shows. He uses the works of John Williams, John Powell's music for the Jason Bourne Trilogy, and the TV version of "La Femme Nikita."
Mark then explains how writers can use music in screenplays and novels with examples from the novel, "Sakura: Intellectual Property."

Writer Mark Wooden finishes up Black History Month with a look at the Mario Van Peebles movie, "New Jack City." Specifically, he analyzes the movie to discover four New Jack Techniques Van Peebles uses to raise what could have been a forgettable gangster movie into a classic movie.
As if the performance from Wesley Snipes and the soundtrack weren't enough to do that already.
A warning though: I've just about given up on keeping the show apolitical. There's just too much bad going on not to take a stand. But don't worry; if you're not a racist fascist, you'll be just fine.
