In this first episode, we're tackling the history of pineapples, starting in 1493 with Colonizer-in-Chief Christopher Columbus, then moving on to the couple of centuries when pineapples cost as much as a down payment on a house, and finally finishing off with the illegal annexation of Hawaii by power-hungry sugar and pineapple growers.
