Around 2:11 AM on August 17, 2022, Officer Terelle Norman with the Athens-Clarke County Police Department observed a 2015 Mazda 3 driving east on Oak Street without illuminated headlights. He initiated a traffic stop, and the driver pulled over inside the Shell gas station at 1290 Oconee Street. He made contact with the driver, who was identified as 21-year-old Macie.
