Ca: Els carrers de Barcelona bullien d'energia mentre els aromes de la ciutat flotaven a l'aire.
En: The streets of Barcelona were buzzing with energy as the aromas of the city floated in the air.

Ca: Però la Marta i en Jordi, dos amics locals forts i orgullosos de la seva herència catalana, estaven decidits a passar una tarda tranquil·la en el seu restaurant català favorit.
En: But Marta and Jordi, two proud and strong local friends of Catalan heritage, were determined to spend a quiet afternoon at their favorite Catalan restaurant.

Ca: Dins el restaurant, les taules de fusta polida lluïen amb un resplendor càlid mentre les brigades de cambrers i cambreres anaven d'ací per allà atenent els comensals.
En: Inside the restaurant, the polished wooden tables gleamed with a warm glow as the waiters and waitresses bustled around attending to the diners.

Ca: La Marta i en Jordi seien a una taula a la cantonada, el seu lloc habitual, i comentaven les notícies del dia.

Ca: En un gir sorprenent d’esdeveniments, en Jordi va decidir trencar la seva rutina culinària de sempre i va demanar una paella.

Ca: Amb la vista fixada al menú, no va adonar-se'n que l'havia demanada fins que la cambrera, amb un somriure suau però evidentment sorprès, va anotar la seva comanda.

Ca: De seguida, la Marta va esclatar en una rialla que va resonar per tot el restaurant.

Ca: "Què?
En: "What?"

Ca: " va preguntar.

Ca: La cara de Jordi era un poema.
En: Jordi's face was a picture.

Ca: Però entre la sorpresa i l'embolic, una mica d’humor començava a aflorar-li també.
En: But amidst the surprise and confusion, a hint of humor began to surface.

Ca: "Bé, volia canviar una mica", va dir.
En: "Well, I wanted to change it up a bit," he said.

Ca: "No hi ha res de malament en provar coses noves, oi?

Ca: " Aleshores, la Marta va assenyalar amb el dit a en Jordi, encara mig rient.

Ca: "Però no traicions les nostres tradicions!

Ca: " En Jordi havia quedat atrapat pel seu propi desig d'experimentar i això va causar una rialla compartida entre tots dos.

Ca: Al final, en Jordi va cancel·lar la seva comanda de paella i va demanar un plat català tradicional, tal com feien sempre.

Ca: Evidentment, els dos amics van passar una gran tarda, rient i gaudint de la seva estimada Barcelona.
