Af: Jaco het uitgekyk na 'n aand van sjarme en verfynde eetgenot.
En: Jaco was looking forward to an evening of charm and refined dining pleasure.

Af: Met sy nuwe hemp netjies ingesteek en 'n ruiker blomme in die hand, stap hy trots Die Kameeldrift Hotel binne.
En: With his new shirt neatly tucked in and a bouquet of flowers in hand, he proudly walked into Die Kameeldrift Hotel.

Af: Langs hom was Suzie, sy beste vriendin, met haar lag wat vonkel soos 'n vars stroompie.
En: Beside him was Suzie, his best friend, her laughter sparkling like a fresh stream.
