Nl: Het is een zonnige dag in Amsterdam.
En: It is a sunny day in Amsterdam.

Nl: Daan, Lotte en Jan zijn dikke vrienden.
En: Daan, Lotte, and Jan are good friends.

Nl: Ze houden van fietsen en van lekker eten.
En: They love riding bikes and enjoying good food.

Nl: Daan heeft een uitdaging bedacht.
En: Daan has come up with a challenge.

Nl: "Wie kan er fietsen met een boeket tulpen en een wiel Goudse kaas in zijn hand?
En: "Who can ride a bike with a bouquet of tulips and a wheel of Gouda cheese in their hand?"

Nl: ", vraagt hij.
En: he asks.

Nl: Lotte lacht heel hard en Jan kijkt een beetje bang.
En: Lotte laughs out loud and Jan looks a little scared.

Nl: Ze staan op de Prinsengracht, naast het Anne Frank Huis.
En: They are standing on Prinsengracht, next to the Anne Frank House.

Nl: Daan heeft een klein bloemenwinkeltje aan de gracht.
En: Daan has a small flower shop on the canal.

Nl: "Kom, we gaan tulpen kopen!
En: "Come on, let's go buy tulips!"

Nl: " zegt hij.
En: he says.

Nl: Ze lopen samen naar Daan's winkel.
En: They walk together to Daan's shop.

Nl: Daan pakt een mooi boeket met rode en gele tulpen.
En: Daan picks a beautiful bouquet of red and yellow tulips.

Nl: Bij de kaasboer kopen ze een groot wiel Goudse kaas.
En: At the cheese shop, they buy a large wheel of Gouda cheese.

Nl: Nu hebben ze alles.
En: Now they have everything they need.

Nl: Ze stappen weer op hun fietsen.
En: They get back on their bikes.

Nl: Dit wordt leuk!
En: This is going to be fun!

Nl: Daan en Lotte proberen het eerst.
En: Daan and Lotte try first.

Nl: Daan valt bijna in het water, maar Lotte kan het!
En: Daan almost falls into the water, but Lotte succeeds!

Nl: Ze lacht en zwaait met haar vrije hand.
En: She laughs and waves with her free hand.

Nl: De mensen lachen en klappen voor haar.
En: People around them laugh and applaud.

Nl: Nu is Jan aan de beurt.

Nl: Hij ziet er bang uit.
En: He looks scared.

Nl: "Ik kan dit niet," zegt hij.
En: "I can't do this," he says.

Nl: Maar zijn vrienden moedigen hem aan.
En: But his friends encourage him.

Nl: "Kom op Jan, je kan het!
En: "Come on, Jan, you can do it!"

Nl: " roepen ze.
En: they shout.

Nl: En hij doet het!
En: And he does it!

Nl: Hij fietst langzaam, maar hij valt niet.
En: He rides slowly, but he doesn't fall.

Nl: Hij lacht breed als hij de eindstreep haalt.
En: He smiles widely as he reaches the finish line.

Nl: Zijn vrienden juichen luid.
En: His friends cheer loudly.

Nl: Ze zijn trots op Jan.
En: They are proud of Jan.

Nl: Ze hebben veel gelachen en veel plezier gehad.
En: They have laughed a lot and had a great time.

Nl: Ze zijn naar huis gegaan en hebben samen de kaas opgegeten.
En: They went home and ate the cheese together.

Nl: Het was een mooie dag in Amsterdam.
