Liberal Leader Justin Trudeau speaks with reporters in Markham, Ont., where he highlights his party's plan to continue working with provinces to implement a $10-a-day child care plan. He is joined by Liberal candidates Chrystia Freeland (University—Rosedale, Ont.) and Paul Chiang (Markham–Unionville, Ont.) In his remarks, Trudeau also provides an update on Canada's efforts to evacuate Afghan nationals and Canadian diplomatic personnel from Afghanistan. He says that Canada has no plans to recognize the Taliban as the legitimate government in Afghanistan.
