show moreBaylor was drafted first overall in 1958 by the then Minneapolis Lakers. He was named Rookie of the Year and only continued to improve throughout his career, being named NBA All-Star 11 times. In 1962 Baylor scored 61 points in Game 5 of the NBA Finals, a scoring record that still stands today.
