We don't really talk much about how the church responded when we reported the abuse, but it is an important part of our story. Reporting abuse is often a very lonely road for survivors. But what about for us? Jimmy is the full time minister for the church his dad led for almost 3 decades. Clara was the preacher's wife for that long, too. So did the church respond in a healthy way?

While we had some support, our story is not much different from other people who are walking this road of compound traumas.
