Lt: Saulė švietė ryškiai virš mažo miestelio, o vietos bendruomenės centras tapo politinių aistrų centru.
En: The sun shone brightly over the small town, where the local community center had become the hub of political passions.

Lt: Ruta stovėjo eilėje prie balsavimo vietos, nervingai gniauždama savo rankinėlę.
En: Ruta stood in line at the polling station, nervously clutching her handbag.

Lt: Ji žinojo, kad šiandien matys savo brolį Vytautą - žmogų, kurio nuomonė taip skyrėsi nuo josios.
En: She knew that today she would see her brother Vytautas—a person whose opinions differed so much from hers.

Lt: Netrukus viskas turėjo išaiškėti.

Lt: “„Aš taip pat to noriu“, Vytautas atsakė ramiu balsu, „bet mes turime kitokius kelius tam pasiekti.
En: "I want that too," Vytautas replied calmly, "but we have different ways to achieve it."

Lt: “Tuomet į sceną įžengė Dovydas.
En: Then Dovydas stepped in.

Lt: „Vaikai, pats laikas sustoti ir pasikalbėti kaip šeimai.
En: "Kids, it's time to stop and talk as a family.

Lt: Jūsų mama norėtų, kad jūs surastumėt bendrą kalbą.
En: Your mother would want you to find common ground."

Lt: “Ruta ir Vytautas trumpam sustojo.
En: Ruta and Vytautas paused for a moment.

Lt: Vytautas prisiminė šiltus vaikystės prisiminimus, kai jie visi būdavo kartu ir juokdavosi.

Lt: “Jie abu žengė žingsnį į priekį ir apsikabino.
En: They both took a step forward and embraced.

Lt: Dovydas, stebėdamas iš šalies, šypsodamasis pritarė, kad jų šeima galės įveikti bet kokius sunkumus, jei jie susitelks.
En: Dovydas, watching from the side, smiled approvingly, knowing that their family could overcome any difficulties if they stuck together.
