Story Transcript:

Ro: Era o dimineață ca în povești când soarele răsărise timid peste satul Bobocelul.
En: It was a morning like in fairy tales, when the sun timidly rose over the village of Bobocelul.

Ro: Pe străduțele înguste, erau case aliniate ca la defilare, cu ferestre curate prin care bunicile priveau lumea.
En: On the narrow streets, the houses were lined up as if in a parade, with clean windows through which the grandmothers watched the world.

Ro: În piața satului, oamenii își începuseră ziua, iar agitația era ca un albinar la lucrul de zi cu zi.
En: In the village square, people had started their day, and the hustle and bustle was like a beehive in its everyday work.

Ro: Andrei, un băiat vioi cu păr șaten și ochi sclipitori, se îndrepta grăbit spre piață, cărând un sac imens cu pene.
En: Andrei, a lively boy with chestnut hair and sparkling eyes, was hurrying towards the square, carrying an enormous sack of feathers.

Ro: Trecătorii îl salutau cu un "Bună dimineața!" iar el le răspundea cu zâmbet larg.
En: Passersby greeted him with a "Good morning!" and he responded with a wide smile.

Ro: Fusese ziua lui de nume ieri, și cu ocazia aceasta mătușa lui, care crescuse gâște, îi făcuse cadou acel sac cu pene pentru pernele din noua lui căsuță.
En: It had been his name day yesterday, and on this occasion, his aunt, who raised geese, had given him that sack of feathers for the pillows in his new little house.

Ro: Elena și Marius, prietenii săi cei mai buni, erau deja în piață și îl așteptau nerăbdători.
En: His best friends, Elena and Marius, were already in the square, eagerly waiting for him.

Ro: Elena, cu părul său lung și negru, ținea în mână un coș de răchită plin cu roșii și castraveți, iar Marius stătea rezemat de un mărăcine, cu o pălărie de paie așezată strâmb pe cap.
En: Elena, with her long, black hair, was holding a wicker basket full of tomatoes and cucumbers, while Marius was leaning against a tree, with a straw hat crooked on his head.

Ro: "Doamne, ce sac mare ai!", spuse Elena râzând când îl văzu pe Andrei.
En: "My goodness, what a huge sack you have!" Elena said, laughing when she saw Andrei.

Ro: "Ai de gând să faci lumea să zboare cu atâta pene?"
En: "Are you planning to make the world fly with all those feathers?"

Ro: "Andrei, ai mare grijă cu sacul ăla în piață, să nu le scapi", îl avertiză Marius.
En: "Andrei, be very careful with that sack in the square, don't let them escape," Marius warned him.

Ro: Dar Andrei nu ascultă și mai făcu câțiva pași grăbiți când, deodată, o gaură mare se deschise în sac, iar penele începură să se împrăștie în vântul matinal.
En: But Andrei didn't listen and took a few hurried steps when suddenly, a large hole opened in the sack, and the feathers began to scatter in the morning wind.

Ro: Ca într-o vrajă, piața se umplu de pene albe, care dansau în aerul cald, aterizând pe tarabe, pe umerii oamenilor și chiar în coșurile cu legume.
En: As if by magic, the square filled with white feathers, dancing in the warm air, landing on stalls, on people's shoulders, and even in the baskets of vegetables.

Ro: "Măi, Andrei, nu sta așa. Dăm noi piept cu asta", spuse bunicul Costea, râzând cu vocea sa adâncă.
En: "Hey, Andrei, don't just stand there. We'll deal with this," said Grandpa Costea, laughing with his deep voice.

Ro: Așa începură toți să râdă și să lucreze împreună; strângeau penele și le puneau înapoi în sac.
En: Soon, everyone started laughing and working together; they gathered the feathers and put them back in the sack.

Ro: Până la sfârșitul zilei, piața reveni la starea sa normală și sacul cu pene era aproape la fel de plin ca la început.
En: By the end of the day, the square returned to its normal state, and the sack of feathers was almost as full as it was at the beginning.

Ro: Elena îl privi pe Andrei și spuse: "Vezi, uneori ai nevoie de puțin haos pentru a aduce toată lumea împreună."
En: Elena looked at Andrei and said, "See, sometimes you need a little chaos to bring everyone together."

Ro: Andrei își ceru scuze față de toți și îi mulțumi fiecărui ajutor. Marius îi bătu pe spate zâmbind: "Pentru o zi de naștere memorabilă, prietene, ai dat lovitura!"
En: Andrei apologized to everyone and thanked each helper. Marius patted him on the back, smiling, "For a memorable name day, my friend, you really made an impact!"

Ro: În timp ce soarele începea să coboare, Andrei, Elena și Marius râseră împreună, ponderând la aventura neașteptată a zilei. iar piața satului Bobocelul își închise cortina peste o zi plină de zboruri nevinovate (și puțin haos).
