Uk: У літній полудень, на головній площі міста, Віктор і Катерина гуляли серед наметів фермерського ринку.
En: On a summer afternoon, in the main square of the city, Viktor and Kateryna strolled among the tents of the farmer's market.

Uk: Сонце яскраво світило, і повітря було наповнене запахами свіжих фруктів і овочів.
En: The sun was shining brightly, and the air was filled with the scents of fresh fruits and vegetables.

Uk: Довкола лунали голоси продавців, які весело рекламували свої товари.
En: Around them, the cheerful voices of vendors promoting their goods echoed.

Uk: Віктор був людиною тихою і стриманою.
En: Viktor was a quiet and reserved man.

Uk: Після нещодавньої пенсії йому важко було звикнути до нового ритму життя.
En: After his recent retirement, he found it hard to adjust to the new pace of life.

Uk: "Вікторе, ці помідори виглядають чудово!
En: "Viktor, these tomatoes look great!

Uk: Візьми їх," - сказала вона, показуючи на лоток, де красувалися стиглі овочі.
En: Take them," she said, pointing to a stand where ripe vegetables were on display.

Uk: Але Віктор вагався.
En: But Viktor hesitated.

Uk: "Не знаю, Катю.
En: "I don't know, Katya.

Uk: Може, краще ці?
En: Maybe these ones?

Uk: Чи, може, ті?
En: Or perhaps those?"

Uk: " - він був явно розгублений.
En: he was clearly uncertain.

Uk: Катерина зрозуміла, що братові важко прийняти допомогу, але вирішила м'яко наставити його.
En: Kateryna understood that her brother had difficulty accepting help but decided to gently guide him.

Uk: "Давай, зробимо так: я виберу пару помідорів, а ти - решту овочів.
En: "Let's do this: I'll pick a couple of tomatoes, and you can choose the rest of the vegetables.

Uk: Згода?
En: Deal?"

Uk: "Віктор зітхнув, але погодився.
En: Viktor sighed but agreed.

Uk: Вони разом обрали декілька огірків, редисок, моркву і зелену цибулю.
En: Together they selected some cucumbers, radishes, carrots, and green onions.

Uk: Катерина терпляче допомагала і підбадьорювала брата.
En: Kateryna patiently helped and encouraged her brother.

Uk: Раптом небо потемніло, і почався сильний дощ.
En: Suddenly, the sky darkened, and a heavy rain began.

Uk: Віктор і Катерина намокли, але Катерина швидко схопила брата за руку.
