Marci Barker, is the creator of "fun and sustainable" fitness. Marci is a life and fitness coach and an expert in helping women with mindset, movement, and creating a healthy lifestyle.
Marci believes our bodies are not something to flaunt, but an instrument to be used to improve our mental health and feel stronger, happier, and more engaged in our lives.
Marci shares her personal struggle with postpartum depression and how movement transformed her mind, body, and soul.
Marci says many people come to her wanting to "lose" weight, but they end up learning to love themselves and create lifestyle habits. Marci focuses on the basics: sleep, self-care, water, and movement. She helps people see a vision of what they want and take "actionable" steps to achieve it!
Marci shares how she helps people become "in tune" with their body. Marci helps bridge the gap between why people start personal training and the underlying issues that may be holding them back. Marci helps people explore what their ultimate goal is.
Marci believes in focusing on who you are not what you look like. Take care of yourself for you! Our value has nothing to do with our weight. Love yourself enough to take the next step. Don't define yourself by what you don't like about your body.
Marci says that "loving yourself" is the most important thing in your wellness journey. She says our focus should not be on what we "look like" but what we believe about ourselves.
Marci shares how her habit of going to the gym was a "preventive" measure for mental break downs. Exercise and physical movement create little shifts that make you a happier person.
"Your physical self is a byproduct of what happens on the inside." Shift how you feel about yourself and notice how your body changes. Every body is different. We are all unique and wonderful.
Marci educates her clients on what is healthy and what is not. Marci does a 4 week healthy eating challenge that gives people education, action, and accountability. Move your body in a way you love!
Marci talks about how fitness is an individual journey. You may love running or yoga or sports. It's whatever is fun and sustainable for YOU! Marci believes that what you tell yourself makes all the difference when you believe you are a "great mom" or a "happy person" you can see the best in yourself.
