Recent community tragedies have turned our contemplations to the notion of Gender Based Violence that plagues the black community. In the Los Angeles Community, the murder of banking executive and beloved community advocate Michelle Avan has deeply impacted our psyche. We are wrought with sadness, anger and shock, And so We sip coffee with Kandee Lewis, Executive Director of The Positive Results Corporation and a Civil and Human Rights Commissioner in the City of Los Angeles. We're contemplating resources, support and consolence for Black Women all over the diasporic black community.
