Story Transcript:

Ko: 꽃 농장은 색깔의 세상입니다.
En: The flower farm is a world of colors.

Ko: 무지개 같이 예쁜 꽃들이 땅 끝까지 펼쳐져 있어요.
En: Beautiful flowers like a rainbow stretch out to the horizon.

Ko: 하늘은 푸르고 태양은 따뜻합니다.
En: The sky is blue, and the sun is warm.

Ko: 한국의 해방절, 나는 친구 민호와 함께 이곳에 왔습니다.
En: On Korea's Liberation Day, I came here with my friend Minho.

Ko: 민호는 어린 시절부터 나와 친구입니다.
En: Minho and I have been friends since childhood.

Ko: 민호는 여기서 일하고, 나는 식물학자입니다.
En: Minho works here, and I am a botanist.

Ko: 꽃들은 나의 열정이지만, 내 속에 숨은 적이 하나 있습니다. 바로 꽃가루 알레르기입니다.
En: Flowers are my passion, but I have a hidden enemy within me: a pollen allergy.

Ko: 아침부터 나는 알레르기 약을 지니고 있었습니다.
En: Since morning, I've been carrying allergy medication.

Ko: 문제 없다고 생각했어요.
En: I thought it would be fine.

Ko: 민호와 시간을 보내고, 연구를 위한 샘플을 모으고 싶었습니다.
En: I wanted to spend time with Minho and collect samples for my research.

Ko: 민호는 내 알레르기를 몰라요. 그래서 말씀하기도 싫었습니다.
En: Minho doesn't know about my allergy, so I didn't want to mention it.

Ko: 처음에는 모든 것이 완벽했어요.
En: At first, everything was perfect.

Ko: 우리는 웃고, 이야기했습니다.
En: We laughed and talked.

Ko: 아름다운 꽃을 보며 감탄했습니다.
En: We marveled at the beautiful flowers.

Ko: 하지만 시간이 지날수록 나는 코가 간지러워졌습니다.
En: But as time went on, my nose started to itch.

Ko: 눈물이 나왔어요.
En: Tears came to my eyes.

Ko: 나의 상태가 악화되었습니다.
En: My condition worsened.

Ko: 하지만 민호에게는 말하지 않기로 했습니다.
En: Still, I decided not to tell Minho.

Ko: 나는 계속해서 참기로 했습니다.
En: I kept enduring it.

Ko: 구석에 희귀한 꽃이 보였습니다.
En: In the corner, I spotted a rare flower.

Ko: 내가 찾던 바로 그 꽃이었습니다.
En: It was exactly what I had been searching for.

Ko: 이 순간만을 기다렸어요.
En: I had been waiting for this moment.

Ko: 하지만 나의 눈은 점점 부어오르고 숨쉬기 힘들어졌습니다.
En: But my eyes were swelling, and it became hard to breathe.

Ko: 머릿속에서는 달려가야 한다는 소리가 들렸지만, 다리도 마음도 움직이지 않았어요.
En: My mind was telling me to run, but my legs and heart wouldn't move.

Ko: 결국, 민호가 나를 발견했습니다.
En: Eventually, Minho found me.

Ko: "지수야, 괜찮아?" 그는 걱정 가득한 얼굴로 물었습니다.
En: "Jisoo, are you okay?" he asked with a worried look.

En: I shook my head vigorously.

En: "Pollen... sorry..." were the words that came out of my mouth.

Ko: 민호는 재빠르게 나를 나무 그늘로 옮기고 물과 약을 건네주었습니다.
En: Minho quickly moved me to the shade of a tree and handed me water and medicine.

Ko: 우리는 잠시 쉬었습니다.
En: We rested for a while.

Ko: 민호는 나를 보고 미소 지으며 말했습니다. "말했어야 해.
En: Minho looked at me and smiled, saying, "You should've told me.

Ko: 친구잖아.
En: We're friends.

Ko: 괜찮아."
En: It's okay."

Ko: 나는 미안한 마음과 함께 안도감을 느꼈습니다.
En: I felt a mixture of regret and relief.

Ko: 민호의 도움으로 나는 샘플을 안전하게 수집할 수 있었습니다.
En: Thanks to Minho's help, I was able to safely collect the samples.
