God wants you to understand the power of authority given to you and see that authority operating through you. God gives you authority as His child (John 1:12) the privilege of delegated empowerment – authorizing you to act or operate under His authority as He directs you, not by your own initiative.
The Lord continuously births faith in you, "God's divine persuasion," to know what He directs (authorizes) you to do through the revelation He flows out of being in His Presence. Then He gives you the ability to perform what He authorizes you to do—the power to achieve what God divinely persuades you to do through His inherent abilities.
Just as the Father sent Jesus, so Jesus sends you in His delegated authority–authorizing you to act to the extent you are guided by faith, His revealed word given by the Holy Spirit whispered into your innermost being. Jesus assures you that living in union with Him as your source, (John 15:5) believing what He tells you, you will be able to do the same mighty miracles that He does—and even greater miracles. But apart from Him, you can do nothing. (John 5:19)
