Howard has more than 35 years’ experience as a BD practitioner and consultant and is currently Executive Director of the Business Development Institute International (BD-Institute), an international non-profit organization. BD-Institute advocates BD best practice world-wide, building on its Capability Maturity Model® for Business Development (BD-CMM), which was created under Howard’s leadership and facilitates BD operational excellence in companies around the world.

To sustain BD-Institute thought leadership, Howard has led research projects in BD metrics, price-to-win / strategic pricing, and similar topics. Most recently, he managed a broad-based benchmarking study of companies in the Americas, Europe, Asia Pacific Rim, and Middle East & Africa, which demonstrated the correlation between BD best practice and performance / results.

Organization

The BD-Institute focuses on serving a global Community of Practice.
