This week Ovie returns from France to join Jaydee, Mo and BJ in a truly international show. The guys kick off with what the Timberwolves should do with the number one pick in the draft (01:45). Then they move on to how the players in the bubble struggle to focus on basketball after Jacob Blake was shot by the Wisconsin police (06:43). Finally in the latest news, Kobe Bryant’s legacy is talked about after LA made the decision to rename Figueroa Street ‘Kobe Bryant Boulevard’ (08:51 ).
In Hot Or Not, Ovie is quick to agree that Luka Doncic is in the top three players in the world (13:39), BJ believes that the Sixers need more than just a new coach and maybe even one of Ben Simmons and Joel Embiid needs to go (22:49) and Mo disagrees that the Rockets can’t beat OKC without Russell Westbrook (29:51).
In Off The Court Mo looks at how Britain’s only active player and NBA champion OG Anunoby is living up to his name becoming one of the Raptors’ most important players (40:04).
Then in the Primetime Preview BJ looks at Boston’s weaknesses ahead of their Eastern semi-finals series against Toronto and shows his disappointment in Mo not bringing his broom to the show (47:44)!
Finally, in Buzzer Beater, Jaydee speaks to Atlanta’s Clint Capela about watching the bubble, being a black European in the US and gives us his bubble MVP & champions prediction (55:43), then Mo goes in hard on Paul George (who must’ve been listening after stepping up in game 5) (59:00).
