Vi: Nguyễn, một cậu bé trung học với trái tim đầy ham muốn học hỏi, đã thực hiện quyết định lớn: đầu tiên, dùng tiếng Anh để đặt món ăn yêu thích của mình – bánh mì. Ngày hôm đó, không giống như bất kỳ ngày thông thường nào, cậu đứng đầu hàng ở quán bánh mì mà cậu thường hay đến, nằm ngay góc phố của cái phố nhỏ cậu sống.
En: Nguyen, a middle school boy with a heart filled with a desire to learn, made a big decision: first, he used English to order his favorite food - a sandwich. On that day, unlike any ordinary day, he stood at the front of the line at the sandwich shop he often frequented, located on the corner of the small street where he lived.

Vi: Ráng chiều đã buông xuống, ánh nắng dịu nhẹ soi sáng biển bánh mì dưới tấm kính cửa hàng. Nguyễn thở một hơi sâu, lòng đầy hi vọng và một chút lo lắng. En: As the afternoon descended, the gentle sunlight illuminated the array of sandwiches behind the store window. Nguyen took a deep breath, filled with hope and a little bit of worry. He had prepared the phrase "I want a sandwich with grilled meat and cilantro, please" in his head. He tried to smile and looked at the three female vendors, each busy with her own work. With a moment of hesitation, he began: "I want a..."

Vi: Trước khi cậu kịp hoàn thành câu nói, một cô bán hàng đã thản nhiên trả lời: "Có, nháy mắt nữa thôi!". Và rồi cô bắt đầu lên đơn hàng cho khách tiếp theo. Nguyễn bối rối, không hề ngờ rằng việc giao tiếp bằng tiếng Anh lại khó khăn đến thế. Cậu cảm thấy hụt hẫng, đứng chốn chân giữa dòng người tấp nập. Thậm chí, cậu còn không hiểu rõ cô đã nói gì.
En: Before he could finish his sentence, one of the vendors calmly replied, "Sure, just a second!" And then she started taking the next customer's order. Nguyen felt confused, never expecting that communicating in English would be this challenging. He felt disappointed, standing amidst the bustling crowd. He couldn't even fully understand what the vendor had said.

Vi: Nhưng Nguyễn không để mất lòng. Cậu quyết định sẽ tìm hiểu câu nói của cô bán hàng, và sẽ cố gắng tiếp tục nói tiếng Anh cho đến khi cô ấy hiểu. Đó là bước đầu trong quá trình học hỏi của cậu, một thử thách nhỏ trong cuộc sống mà cậu quyết định không từ bỏ.
En: But Nguyen didn't let his spirits dampen. He resolved to find out what the vendor's phrase meant and would continue speaking English until she understood. It was the first step in his learning process, a small challenge in life that he decided not to give up on.
