Fi: Heinäkuun ilta oli lämmin, kun Eerika, Joonas ja Linnea lopettivat viimeisen harjoittelukerran koulun teatterissa Helsingissä.
En: The July evening was warm as Eerika, Joonas, and Linnea finished their final rehearsal at the school theater in Helsinki.

Fi: Aurinko oli jo laskemassa, ja kadut olivat tyhjiä.
En: The sun was already setting, and the streets were empty.

Fi: Vanha tiilirakennus seisoi vahvana ja hiljaisena.
En: The old brick building stood strong and silent.

Fi: He keräsivät tavaroitaan, kun yhtäkkiä kuului klik-ääni.
En: They were gathering their belongings when suddenly a click sounded.

Fi: Ovet olivat lukossa.
En: The doors were locked.

Fi: "Kuka jätti avaimet sisälle?"
En: "Who left the keys inside?"

Fi: kysyi Joonas vitsikkäästi, mutta hänen äänessään oli huolen sävy.
En: asked Joonas jokingly, but there was a hint of concern in his voice.

Fi: Eerika katsoi ympäriinsä.

En: "We need to get out.

En: We have a big performance tomorrow," she said sternly.

En: "Let's look for another way out.

En: Maybe from the basement."

Fi: He lähtivät liikkumaan koulun hiljaisia käytäviä pitkin.
En: They started moving through the quiet school hallways.

Fi: Seinillä olevat julisteet rapisivat hiljaa, ja askeleet kaikuivat.
En: The posters on the walls rustled softly, and their footsteps echoed.

Fi: He tulivat kellarin ovelle, mutta sekin oli lukossa.
En: They reached the basement door, but it was locked too.

Fi: "Tämä ei ole hyvä," Linnea kuiskasi.
En: "This isn't good," Linnea whispered.

Fi: "Mutta entä kattoluukku?"
En: "But what about the roof hatch?"

Fi: kysyi Joonas.
En: Joonas asked.

Fi: "Se voi toimia!"
En: "That could work!"

Fi: Eerika sanoi innostuen.
En: Eerika said excitedly.

Fi: "Mutta miten pääsemme katolle?"
En: "But how do we get to the roof?"

Fi: "Heelpaset," sanoi Joonas virnistäen.
En: "Easy," Joonas said, grinning.

Fi: "Arkkitehtikurssilla opettelimme sitä."
En: "We learned that in architecture class."

Fi: He suuntasivat takaisin teatteriin, jossa oli vanhat tikkaat.
En: They headed back to the theater, where there was an old ladder.

Fi: Eerika kiipesi ensin, hänen perässään Joonas ja lopuksi Linnea.
En: Eerika climbed first, followed by Joonas, and finally Linnea.

Fi: Matka katolle oli pelottava, mutta he pääsivät sinne yhdessä.
En: The journey to the roof was frightening, but they made it together.

Fi: Katto oli viileämpi kuin sisätilat.
En: The roof was cooler than inside.

Fi: He näkivät kaupungin valot ja tunsivat vapauden tuulen.
En: They saw the city lights and felt the breeze of freedom.

Fi: Mutta vielä tärkeämpi oli katolla oleva luukku.
En: But more importantly, there was a hatch on the roof.

Fi: "Meidän on päästävä siitä alas," Eerika sanoi rohkeasti.
En: "We need to get down through that," Eerika said bravely.

Fi: "Laita minut ensin," Joonas ehdotti.
En: "Let me go first," Joonas suggested.

Fi: Hän tarttui luukkuun ja veti sen auki.
En: He grabbed the hatch and pulled it open.

Fi: "Linnea, sinä seuraat."
En: "Linnea, you follow next."

Fi: Linnea epäröi, mutta Eerika katsoi häntä rohkaisevasti.
En: Linnea hesitated, but Eerika looked at her encouragingly.

Fi: "Me teemme tämän yhdessä."
En: "We’ll do this together."

Fi: Lopulta he kaikki pääsivät sisälle erilaiseen aulaan, joka johti ulko-oville.
En: Eventually, they all made it down to a different hallway that led to the exterior doors.
