Story Transcript:

Ro: Era o zi călduroasă de vară în București când Andrei, cu fruntea încordată de griji, conducea spre Maria.
En: It was a hot summer day in Bucharest when Andrei, with a worried frown, was driving towards Maria.

Ro: Se pregătise pentru această întâlnire de nenumărate ori în mintea lui.
En: He had mentally prepared for this meeting countless times.

Ro: "Totul trebuie să fie perfect", își spuse el în timp ce se uita la buchetul de flori frumos așezat pe scaunul din dreapta.
En: "Everything must be perfect," he told himself as he looked at the beautiful bouquet of flowers placed on the seat to his right.

Ro: Tocmai când se apropia de Piața Universității, mașini peste mașini începură să umple strada.
En: Just as he was approaching University Square, cars upon cars began to fill the street.

Ro: Claxoane, oameni nervoși, căldură mare.
En: Honking, nervous people, intense heat.

Ro: Traficul era blocat complet.
En: The traffic was completely blocked.

Ro: Andrei își verifică ceasul și oftă.
En: Andrei checked his watch and sighed.

Ro: "Maria mă așteaptă", gândi el și apăsă din nou pe accelerație, sperând într-o minune.
En: "Maria is waiting for me," he thought and pressed on the accelerator again, hoping for a miracle.

Ro: Telefonul lui sună.
En: His phone rang.

Ro: "Bună, Andrei, unde ești?
En: "Hello, Andrei, where are you?"

Ro: ", întrebă Maria.
En: asked Maria.

Ro: "Sunt în trafic", răspunse Andrei, "dar promit că ajung cât de repede pot.
En: "I'm stuck in traffic," Andrei replied, "but I promise to get there as quickly as I can."

Ro: "După ceea ce părea o eternitate, mașinile începură să se miște.
En: After what felt like an eternity, the cars started to move.

Ro: Andrei era atât de concentrat să avanseze încât, în grabă, a ieșit din mașină și a închis ușa în spatele lui pentru a se asigura că buchetul de flori nu căzuse pe jos.
En: Andrei was so focused on moving forward that, in a hurry, he got out of the car and closed the door behind him to make sure the bouquet of flowers hadn't fallen to the ground.

Ro: Inima îi bătea cu putere, iar încuietorile acestuia făcură un "clic" semnificativ.
En: His heart was pounding, and the locks clicked significantly.

Ro: "Oh nu!
En: "Oh no!"

Ro: ", exclamă el.
En: he exclaimed.

Ro: Cheile erau înăuntru.
En: The keys were inside.

Ro: Privi disperat în jur, căutând o soluție.
En: He looked desperately around, searching for a solution.

Ro: Mașinile din spate începeau să claxoneze, iar oamenii se uitau la el.
En: The cars behind him started honking, and people were looking at him.

Ro: Chiar atunci, un bătrân din mulțime, pe nume Ion, se apropiase.
En: Just then, an old man from the crowd, named Ion, approached.

Ro: "Ai nevoie de ajutor, fiule?
En: "Do you need help, son?"

Ro: ", întrebă el cu un zâmbet blând.
En: he asked with a gentle smile.

Ro: Andrei îi explică situația, iar Ion îl întrebă dacă are fir de pescuit.
En: Andrei explained the situation to him, and Ion asked if he had any fishing line.

Ro: Andrei fu surprins, dar răscoli prin portbagaj cu ajutorul lui Ion și găsi un astfel de fir.
En: Andrei was surprised, but with Ion's help, he rummaged through the trunk and found such a fishing line.

Ro: Ion, cu mâini dibace de pescar experimentat, reuși cumva să deschidă ușa fără să lase o zgârietură.
En: Ion, with the skilled hands of an experienced fisherman, somehow managed to unlock the door without leaving a scratch.

Ro: Andrei îi mulțumi profund și se grăbi spre Maria, cu buchetul de flori în mâină.
En: Andrei thanked him deeply and hurried to Maria with the bouquet of flowers in hand.

Ro: Când a ajuns, ea îl întâmpină cu un zâmbet îngăduitor.
En: When he arrived, she greeted him with a forgiving smile.

Ro: "Îmi pare rău că am întârziat," îi spuse el, în timp ce îi înmâna flori.
En: "I'm sorry I'm late," he said, handing her the flowers.

Ro: "Important e că ai ajuns," răspunse Maria, legându-și brațul de al lui.
En: "The important thing is that you made it," Maria replied, linking her arm with his.

Ro: Și astfel, ceea ce părea o zi plină de obstacole se transformă într-o seară plină de zâmbete și povești amuzante despre cum poate un trafic infernal și o ușă încuiată să unească doi oameni într-o întâmplare pe care nu avea să o uite niciodată.
En: And so, what seemed like a day full of obstacles turned into an evening full of smiles and funny stories about how a nightmarish traffic and a locked door brought two people together in an incident they would never forget.
