Story Transcript:

En: On a warm and tranquil afternoon, Jordi, a boy full of energy and adventure, decides to stroll through the city of Barcelona.

En: With his backpack on his shoulders and the sun shining bright in the sky, he walks with a smile towards the Gothic Quarter.

En: Here in Barcelona, every narrow street has a millennia-old story to tell.

En: But soon, Jordi realizes that the narrow streets there are like a maze.

En: One turn here, another there, each alley seemed the same as the previous.

En: Jordi, who thought he knew Barcelona like the back of his hand, finds himself lost among the stone walls of the Gothic Quarter.

En: Suddenly, he feels a little nervous.

Ca: Mira els carrerons estrets a cada costat, tots semblen iguals.
En: He looks at the narrow streets on either side, all seeming alike.

En: The old stone houses gaze at each other on both sides of the street.

Ca: No hi ha ningú a la vista.
En: There is no one in sight.

Ca: Jordi es troba totalment sol i perdut.
En: Jordi feels completely alone and lost.

Ca: Però Jordi és un noi valent.
En: But Jordi is a brave boy.

En: He decides to keep walking, confident that he will find his way back.

En: He passes through an alley with flowers hanging from balconies.

En: He goes through a small square with an old fountain.

En: He walks down a street where the melody of a guitar flows from an open window.

Ca: Just quan Jordi comença a sentir una mica de desesperació, escolta un so conegut.
En: Just as Jordi starts feeling a bit of desperation, he hears a familiar sound.

En: He looks around, and sees an ice cream stand.

Ca: Recorda haver vist aquesta parada abans!
En: He remembers seeing this stand before!

Ca: Està al començament del Barri Gòtic.
En: He is at the beginning of the Gothic Quarter.

En: Jordi runs towards it, congratulating himself for having found the way back quite quickly from where he got lost.

En: When he finally exits the Gothic Quarter, Jordi realizes he has learned an important lesson.

En: Sometimes, you might think you know a place, but there are always new corners to discover.

En: And even if you get lost, there will always be a way to find your way back.

En: With this thought in mind, Jordi walks back home, this time choosing a familiar path.

En: But as he walks, he is already planning his next adventure.

Ca: Aquest cop, però, portarà un mapa!
En: This time, though, he will bring a map!
