Ca: En un rasclet brillant del dia a Barcelona, Marta es trobava perduda en l'intrincat laberint del Barri Gòtic. La seva preocupació creixia per moments; els carrers estrets i sinuosos s'estenien davant seu com un confús teler de fil de seda, sense fi ni principi visible.
En: On a bright day in Barcelona, Marta found herself lost in the intricate labyrinth of the Gothic Quarter. Her worry grew by the minute; the narrow and winding streets stretched out before her like a confusing silk thread, with no visible end or beginning.

Ca: Tot d'una, al capdamunt d'un carreró sombrívol, va veure una figura. Era un home alt, amb un somriure amigable que contrastava amb l'esquerpa ratlla de les teulades altes. Era en Jordi.
En: Suddenly, at the top of a shadowy alley, she saw a figure. It was a tall man, with a friendly smile that contrasted with the sharp line of the tall rooftops. It was Jordi.

Ca: "M'he perdut," va admetre Marta a Jordi, amb una mica d'embaràs. Jordi va estudiar-la un moment amb uns ulls pensants. Després, amb un ràpid capgirar del cap, va assenyalar cap a la dreta, cap al carrer de la Merè.
En: "I am lost," Marta admitted to Jordi, feeling a bit embarrassed. Jordi studied her for a moment with thoughtful eyes. Then, with a quick turn of his head, he pointed to the right, towards Merè Street.

Ca: Marta, agraïda, va seguir la direcció que li havia donat Jordi. Però al cap d'un moment, es va adonar que enlloc d'anar al lloc que cercava, estava arribant a un lloc completament diferent.
En: Grateful, Marta followed the direction Jordi had given her. But after a while, she realized that instead of going to the place she was looking for, she was arriving at a completely different place.

Ca: Amb el seu somriure convertit en una rialla, la música enèrgica i encisadora del flamenc la va rebre. Vestits en colors vius es movien com petals agitats per la ventada, i els palmells claquenjaven amb força contra la pell de la nit.
En: With her smile turning into laughter, she was welcomed by the vibrant and enchanting music of flamenco. Dressed in bright colors, people moved like petals stirred by the wind, and their palms clapped against the night's skin with force.

Ca: Flamantment sorpresa però encantada, Marta es va deixar arrossegar per la màgia del lloc. Tenia la sensació d'haver descobert un tresor inesperat, tot gràcies a en Jordi.
En: Flamboyantly surprised but enchanted, Marta let herself be carried away by the magic of the place. She felt like she had discovered an unexpected treasure, all thanks to Jordi.

Ca: La nit va volar, i amb ella van volar les alegres melodies i els somriures prims. Quan el dia va començar a tornar, Marta, tot encara embriagada per la passió de flamenc, va decidir tornar per trobar en Jordi.
En: The night flew by, and with it flew the joyful melodies and delicate smiles. When the day started to return, Marta, still intoxicated by the passion of flamenco, decided to go back to find Jordi.

Ca: Amb el mapa que guardava a la butxaca de la seva jaqueta, va tornar a trobar al Jordi en el mateix lloc on el va trobar la primera vegada. "Em vas guiar erròniament, però estic agraïda,", va admetre Marta. En Jordi, alarmat, només va poder demanar disculpes, avergonyit.
En: With the map she kept in the pocket of her jacket, she found Jordi again in the same place where she had first met him. "You guided me wrongly, but I am grateful," Marta admitted. Jordi, alarmed, could only apologize, feeling ashamed.

Ca: Tot i així, la veritat és que per a Marta aquesta havia estat una nit d'aventura emocionant i recordable, gràcies a un malentès que al final havia tingut un resultat meravellós.
