Story Transcript:

It: Sullo sfondo di un cielo che si stava tingendo di tinte pastello con l'approssimarsi del tramonto, si stagliava la città eterna: Roma. In quel momento, un giovane di nome Mario, con un cappello giallo che sembrava brillare come l'oro nelle ultime luci del sole, stava esplorando le intricate strade cittadine.
En: Against the backdrop of a sky that was tinged with pastel shades as sunset approached, stood the eternal city: Rome. At that moment, a young man named Mario, with a yellow hat that seemed to shine like gold in the last rays of the sun, was exploring the intricate streets of the city.

It: Roma era una città incredibile, piena di tesori storici e vie strette che ti avvolgevano come se fossero braccia affettuose. Ma quelle stesse strade affascinanti stavano dando del filo da torcere a Mario, che si ritrovò perso. Nonostante ciò, il suo spirito di avventura non ne uscì minimamente scalfito; in fondo, non sempre perdersi è un infortunio, a volte può essere un piacevole deviare dai piani iniziali.
En: Rome was an incredible city, full of historical treasures and narrow streets that enveloped you like loving arms. But those same fascinating streets were posing a challenge for Mario, who found himself lost. Despite this, his spirit of adventure was not even slightly diminished; after all, getting lost is not always a misfortune, sometimes it can be a pleasant deviation from the original plans.

It: Mentre camminava, attirato da un aroma invitante, arrivò in una piazzetta. Lì, vide un gruppo di gente del posto che stavano preparando enormi pentole di spaghetti. A quanto pare, si stava svolgendo una gara di spaghetti, e Mario-chiaramente affamato e incuriosito-, decise di partecipare.
En: As he walked, drawn by an inviting aroma, he arrived in a small square. There, he saw a group of locals preparing huge pots of spaghetti. It seemed that a spaghetti competition was taking place, and Mario - clearly hungry and curious - decided to participate.

It: La gente del posto accolse Mario con braccia aperte, abbracciando la sua spontaneità e la sua disponibilità a mettersi in gioco. Gli diedero un grembiule e una grossa forchetta, e le risate riempirono la piazza quando Mario iniziò a intingere la forchetta nella pentola di spaghetti.
En: The locals welcomed Mario with open arms, embracing his spontaneity and willingness to get involved. They gave him an apron and a large fork, and laughter filled the square as Mario began to dip his fork into the pot of spaghetti.

It: La competizione era feroce, ma piena di amicizia e camaraderia. A quello spettacolo, a quella tavolata infinita, sembrava che il tempo si fosse fermato. Alcuni abitanti implacabili divoravano spaghetti come se non ci fosse un domani, la salsa di pomodoro volava dall'altra parte della tavola, l'aria era impregnata del profumo del basilico fresco. Mario, seppure all'inizio un po' intontito, si destreggiava sorprendentemente bene.
En: The competition was fierce, but full of friendship and camaraderie. At that spectacle, at that endless table, it seemed as if time had stood still. Some relentless locals devoured spaghetti as if there was no tomorrow, tomato sauce flew to the other side of the table, the air was filled with the scent of fresh basil. Mario, although initially a bit disoriented, surprisingly managed quite well.

It: Ebbe la meglio su molti concorrenti, anche se venne sconfitto da una nonna romana che, come un esperto capitano di nave, manovrò la sua forchetta tra i mari di spaghetti con abilità incontestabile.
En: He outdid many competitors, although he was defeated by a Roman grandma who, like an expert ship captain, maneuvered her fork through the seas of spaghetti with undeniable skill.

It: Al termine della gara, Mario era esausto ma felicissimo e la nonna, vincitrice, con un sorriso caloroso lo abbracciò. Lui era uscito dalla sua comfort zone, aveva condiviso gioia e cibo con perfetti sconosciuti che ora considerava amici, e aveva ritrovato la strada per il suo albergo.
En: At the end of the competition, Mario was exhausted but extremely happy, and the grandmother, the winner, hugged him with a warm smile. He had stepped out of his comfort zone, shared joy and food with perfect strangers who he now considered friends, and found his way back to his hotel.

It: Dall'avventura di Mario, possiamo imparare che, a volte, il perdersi può portarci su strade impreviste e ricche di sorprese. Eppure, proprio in quelle strade potremmo ritrovare la via di casa. Quante volte abbiamo sentito dire "tutta la strada fa un giro e torna a casa", non è vero? A ben guardare, la vita è stessa è un girare continuo, un perdersi e un ritrovarsi, proprio come successe a Mario quella notte, nella bella e intricata Roma.
En: From Mario's adventure, we can learn that sometimes getting lost can lead us down unexpected and surprising paths. Yet, it is precisely on those paths that we might find our way back home. How many times have we heard the saying "all roads lead home," isn't it true? Upon closer inspection, life itself is a continuous cycle, getting lost and finding ourselves, just like what happened to Mario that night, in beautiful and intricate Rome.
