Ko: 지혜는 일어나서 아직도 잠든 서울을 거닐었다. 주변을 둘러볼 때, 작은 커피전문점 '더 아로마'의 네온사인이 눈에 띄었다. 속으로 '아, 딱 이거지!' 하며 문을 열었다.
En: Ji-hye wandered through the still-sleeping Seoul. As she looked around, she noticed the neon sign of a small coffee shop called 'The Aroma.' In her mind, she thought, 'Ah, this is it!' and opened the door.

Ko: '나중에 주문하겠습니다,'라고 엉터리 한국어로 말했지만 사실 말하려던 말은 '나는 아메리카노를 주문하겠습니다.'였다. 지혜는 자신의 몸을 가만히 관찰하며 어떻게 이런 실수를 할 수 있었는지 물었다.
En: 'I will order later,' she said in broken Korean, but what she actually wanted to say was 'I will have an Americano.' Ji-hye quietly observed her own body and wondered how she could make such a mistake.
