Ca: El sol d'estiu il·luminava les estretes carrers del Barri Gòtic de Barcelona.
En: The summer sun lit up the narrow streets of the Gothic Quarter in Barcelona.

Ca: Laia caminava ràpid, esquivant turistes i tafaners.
En: Laia walked quickly, dodging tourists and onlookers.

Ca: Havia descobert un vell secret de la seva família, un que podria canviar-ho tot.
En: She had discovered an old family secret, one that could change everything.

Ca: —Laia!—va cridar Jordi, que apareixia darrere seu, suant sota el sol.
En: "Laia!" shouted Jordi, appearing behind her, sweating under the sun.

Ca: Era el millor amic de Marc i sempre intentava mantenir la pau.
En: He was Marc's best friend and always tried to keep the peace.

Ca: Laia va girar-se, els seus ulls plens de preocupació.

Ca: Marc era tradicional i protector, i Jordi sabia que la revelació de Laia podria ferir-lo profundament.

Ca: Va alliberar-se del braç de Jordi, decidida a enfrontar-se al seu destí.

Ca: Van arribar a una petita plaça, amb un cafè animat on Marc estava assegut.

Ca: —Marc, hem de parlar—va dir Laia, sentint la tensió en l'aire.

Ca: Marc es va redreçar, la seva cara passant de la sorpresa a la preocupació.

Ca: Jordi es va posar al seu costat, una mà al seu braç en senyal de suport.

Ca: —Laia, què passa?—va dir Marc, la seva veu tremolant lleugerament.

Ca: —La meva família...—Laia va respirar profundament—fa molts anys va fer alguna cosa terrible.
En: "My family..." Laia took a deep breath, "many years ago they did something terrible.

Ca: Un silenci pesant va caure entre ells.

Ca: Marc es va posar dret, agafant la mà de Laia.

En: "What do you mean?"

Ca: —Estic parlant d'una traïció, Marc. Una traïció que podria afectar com em veus a mi—va dir Laia amb llàgrimes als ulls.

Ca: Marc va respirar profundament, mirant Laia intensament.
