Story Transcript:

Lv: Vējš spēlējās ar krāsainajiem tirgus tentiem, kad Aina un Andris devās uz Rīgas Centrāltirgu.
En: The wind played with the colorful market tents as Aina and Andris went to the Riga Central Market.

Lv: Aina vēlējās iepirkt svaigus dārzeņus, bet Andrim prātā bija vien futbols.
En: Aina wanted to buy fresh vegetables, but Andris had football on his mind.

Lv: "Lūk, tieši šeit es pēdējo reizi iegādājos brīnišķīgus tomātus," stāstīja Aina, kad viņi gāja garām koši šķirotajiem dārzeņu šķīvjiem un smaržīgajiem augļiem.
En: "Look, right here is where I last bought wonderful tomatoes," Aina said as they walked past brightly colored stalls of vegetables and fragrant fruits.

Lv: Andris, kurš knapi klausījās Ainas stāstījumu, it kā attālinājās savās domās.
En: Andris, barely listening to Aina's story, seemed lost in his thoughts.

Lv: Viņa acis klaiņoja pa veikalu plauktiem, meklējot kaut ko interesantu.
En: His eyes wandered over the shelves, looking for something interesting.

En: Suddenly, he saw a large, round cabbage.

En: It reminded him of a soccer ball.

Lv: "Oi, skaties, kas tas par lielisku bumbu!
En: "Oh, look at that great ball!"

Lv: " viņš izsaucās un, pirms Aina varēja iebilst, ieskrēja pretī un ar spēku atspēra kāpostu.
En: he exclaimed and before Aina could object, he ran over and kicked the cabbage with all his strength.

Lv: Kāposts lidoja gaisā, kā futbola bumbu izsita no soda laukuma, un tad ar ņipru šķindu ietriecās tualetes papīru stendā, izkaisot ruļļus visapkārt.
En: The cabbage flew through the air like a soccer ball being kicked off the field, then with a swift thud, it hit the toilet paper stand, scattering rolls everywhere.

Lv: Pārdevējs izbēga no savas teltītes, redzot savu preču nekārtību.
En: The vendor rushed out of his tent, seeing the disorder of his merchandise.

Lv: Andrim un Ainai nebija citas izvēles, ka tik stāties pretī savu rīcību sekām.
En: Andris and Aina had no choice but to face the consequences of their actions.

Lv: Aina aizkaunījās, bet Andris, pasarkstot lūpās, piedāvāja palīdzību sakārtot izkaisītos tualetes papīra ruļļus.
En: Aina was embarrassed, but Andris, sheepishly, offered to help organize the scattered rolls of toilet paper.

Lv: Kamēr Andris palīdzēja pārdevējam, Aina stāvēja blakus un vēroja.
En: While Andris helped the vendor, Aina stood nearby and watched.

Lv: Viņa saprata, ka Andrim patiešām bija žēl, kā viņš bija rīkojies.
En: She realized that Andris truly regretted the way he had acted.

Lv: Pēc tam, kad stends bija sakopts, abiem bija jāturpina iepirkšanās.
En: After the stand had been tidied up, they both had to continue shopping.

Lv: "Andri, futbols ir laukumā, nevis tirgū," mierīgi teica Aina.
En: "Andris, soccer belongs on the field, not at the market," Aina said calmly.

Lv: Andris smējās un piekrītoši pamāja ar galvu.
En: Andris laughed and nodded in agreement.

Lv: "Taisnība, Aina.
En: "You're right, Aina.

Lv: Man būtu jābūt uzmanīgākam.
En: I should be more careful."

Lv: "No šīs dienas Andris zināja, ka ir svarīgi atšķirt spēles laukumu no citām vietām.
En: From that day on, Andris knew it was important to distinguish the playing field from other places.

Lv: Abi draugi pavadīja pārējo dienu, pērkot svaigus produktus un cenšoties izvairīties no papildus futbola epizodēm.
En: Both friends spent the rest of the day buying fresh produce and trying to avoid further soccer episodes.

Lv: Un, lai gan diena sākās ar nelielu starpgadījumu, tā noslēdzās ar smiekliem un jaunām atmiņām par dienu Rīgas Centrāltirgū.
En: And although the day started with a minor incident, it ended with laughter and new memories of their day at the Riga Central Market.
