Ja: 東京のどん詰まりのとある小さな裏通り。長いビルの影に沈むように佇む一台の自動販売機、そこが今日の物語の舞台だ。 静かな通りに、可愛らしい少女の姿が浮かんでくる。その名前はユキ。
En: In a small narrow alley in the heart of Tokyo, a solitary vending machine stands as if sinking in the shadow of a long building. This is the setting of today's story. Through the quiet street, the figure of a lovely girl emerges. Her name is Yuki.

Ja: ユキは子供心に、自動販売機のゴム製のボタンを押すことが何よりも好きだった。ある日、購入したジュースを受け取ると同時に、何故かお辞儀をしてしまった。別にお礼を言わなければいけないような相手ではないと知りつつ、自然にそうした。その無邪気な行動は通りにいたハルトという少年の目に止まった。
En: As a child, Yuki loved nothing more than pressing the rubber buttons of vending machines. One day, as she received the juice she purchased, she found herself bowing inexplicably. Though she knew there was no need to thank an inanimate object, she did so naturally. This innocent gesture caught the eye of a boy named Haruto who happened to be passing by.

Ja: ハルトはユキがお辞儀をする理由を知りたくなって、ユキに話しかける決心をした。「ユキ、なんで自販機にお辞儀をしたの？」と尋ねると、ユキは顔を上げてにっこり笑った。「だって、ジュースをくれたんだもん。だからお礼を言ったんだよ。」その無邪気な答えに、ハルトも思わず笑ってしまった。
