Cy: Roedd hi'n brynhawn heulog yn Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch.
En: It was a sunny afternoon in Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch.
Cy: Roedd pawb yn mwynhau'r tywydd braf, yn cerdded o amgylch y pentref prydferth, ac yn yfed paned o de yn yr awyr agored.
En: Everyone was enjoying the nice weather, walking around the beautiful village and sipping tea outdoors.
Cy: Ond nid oedd Rhys yn un o'r bobl hynny; roedd ganddo gynllun arall.
En: But Rhys wasn't one of those people; he had a different plan.
Cy: Roedd Rhys yn mynd i'r llyfrgell, lle roedd eisiau benthyg llyfr arbennig iawn.
En: Rhys was going to the library, where he wanted to borrow a very special book.
Cy: Elin a Megan, ei ffrindiau gorau, oedd gydag ef.
En: Elin and Megan, his best friends, were with him.
Cy: Roedd Rhys yn hoffi dysgu am hanes, a'r llyfr roedd e eisiau oedd am hanes Cymru.
En: Rhys liked learning about history, and the book he wanted was about the history of Wales.
Cy: Roedd yn siŵr bod y llyfr ar silff uchaf y llyfrgell, yr un roedd bron yn amhosib ei gyrraedd.
En: He was sure the book was on the top shelf of the library, which was almost impossible to reach.
Cy: Wrth i Rhys, Elin, a Megan gerdded i mewn i'r llyfrgell, roedd tawelwch yn bwrw'r gofod.
En: As Rhys, Elin, and Megan walked into the library, a quietness filled the space.
Cy: Swynol oedd y llychlyn o wybodaeth, lle roedd pob llyfr yn drws i fyd arall.
En: The collection of knowledge was enchanting, where each book was a door to another world.
Cy: Ond ni fyddai'r ymweliad hwn mor heddychlon ag y disgwyliwyd.
En: But this visit wouldn't be as peaceful as expected.
Cy: "Do ti'n siŵr ei fod o ar y silff uchaf 'na?" gofynnodd Elin, gan edrych am i fyny at y llyfrau.
En: "Are you sure it's up there on the top shelf?" asked Elin, looking up at the books.
Cy: "Yndw," atebodd Rhys, "dw i wedi'i weld o yno cyn hyn. Ond mae'n rhaid i ni fod yn ofalus i beidio â tharfu ar y lle."
En: "Yes," Rhys answered, "I've seen it there before. But we need to be careful not to knock anything over."
Cy: Dechreuodd Rhys ddringo'r ysgol, gam wrth gam.
En: Rhys began to climb the shelves, step by step.
Cy: Roedd e'n arbennig o ofalus i beidio â sgubo unrhyw lyfrau oddi ar y silffoedd.
En: He was especially careful not to knock any books off the shelves.
Cy: Ond wrth i Rhys estyn ar gyfer y llyfr, fe lithrodd braich ei siaced dros rywbeth.
En: But as Rhys reached for the book, his coat sleeve slipped over something.
Cy: *PIIIIIIIIIIP!* Fe aeth larwm tân i ffwrdd yn sydyn! Roedd pawb yn y llyfrgell wedi synnu.
En: *BEEEEEEP!* A fire alarm suddenly went off! Everyone in the library was surprised.
Cy: Roedd Elin a Megan yn edrych ar Rhys gyda llygaid mawr - beth oedd wedi digwydd?
En: Elin and Megan looked at Rhys with big eyes - what had happened?
Cy: "Dw i'n flin iawn!" Rhys sibrydodd, yn wyn iawn yn ei wyneb.
En: "I'm so sorry!" Rhys exclaimed, very pale in his face.
Cy: "Roedd e'n ddamwain, dw i newydd daro'r larwm tân wrth geisio cyrraedd y llyfr."
En: "It was an accident, I just hit the fire alarm while trying to reach the book."
Cy: Tra'r oedd y larwm yn parhau i seinio, roedd y gweithwyr llyfrgell yn rhedeg o gwmpas, gan geisio darganfod beth oedd wedi digwydd.
En: As the alarm continued to sound, the library workers rushed around, trying to figure out what had happened.
Cy: Pobl yn dechrau symud tuag at y drws, mewn drefn, dim panig, ond roedd pryder yn eu llygaid.
En: People started moving towards the doors, in an orderly fashion, no panic, but worry was in their eyes.
Cy: Daeth y rheolwr llyfrgell, dynes llym ond teg, at y tri ffrind.
En: The library manager, a stern but fair woman, came to the three friends.
Cy: "Be sy'n digwydd yma?" gofynnodd hi.
En: "What's going on here?" she asked.
Cy: Gyda phob llygad yn y llyfrgell wedi'u hoelio arno fe, cyfaddefodd Rhys ei gamgymeriad.
En: With every eye in the library on him, Rhys admitted his mistake.
Cy: "Dw i'n flin iawn," meddai, "doedd dim tân, roedd hi ddim ond ddamwain."
En: "I'm very sorry," he said, "there was no fire, it was just an accident."
Cy: Yn ffodus, roedd rheolwr y llyfrgell yn ddeallgar.
En: Fortunately, the library manager was understanding.
Cy: Ac er gwaethaf y penbleth, fe dawelodd pethau yn gyflym.
En: And despite the trouble, things quickly calmed down.
Cy: Sylweddolodd Megan rhywbeth.
En: Megan noticed something.
Cy: "Edrych!" meddai, gan dynnu llyfr o'r silff is.
En: "Look!" she said, pulling a book from the lower shelf.
Cy: "Mae'r llyfr wyt ti ei eisiau yma, ar y silff hawdd ei gyrraedd!"
En: "The book you want is here, on the easy-to-reach shelf!"
Cy: Rhys oedd yn llawenhau.
En: Rhys was delighted.
Cy: Roedd y sefyllfa ddiffwdan wedi datgelu bod y llyfr roedd e mor awyddus i'w ddarllen, yn agosáu o lawer na roedd e wedi meddwl.
En: The embarrassing situation had revealed that the book he was so eager to read was much closer than he had thought.
Cy: Ar ôl ymddiheuro tro ar ôl tro, ac addewid i fod yn fwy gofalus yn y dyfodol, gadawodd Rhys, Elin, a Megan y llyfrgell gyda'r llyfr hanfodol dan fraich.
En: After apologizing again and again, and promising to be more careful in the future, Rhys, Elin, and Megan left the library with the essential book in hand.
Cy: Roedd yn ddigon i ddysgu awr, ond roedd wedi dysgu mwy ynglŷn â gofal a chyfrifoldeb hefyd.
En: It was enough to learn a lesson, but he had learned more about care and responsibility as well.
Cy: Ac yn ôl y tu allan i Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch llyfrgell, awgrymodd Megan, "tro nesaf, gad i ni i fod yn fwy gofalus, ie?"
En: And outside the Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch library, Megan suggested, "Next time, let's be more careful, yes?"
Cy: Ac roedd Rhys yn cytuno, gan chwerthin gyda'i ffrindiau am antur anarferol y dydd.
En: And Rhys agreed, laughing with his friends about the unusual adventure of the day.
