Lv: Saule bija tikko pacēlusies virs vecām Rīgas jumtiem, kad Līga steidzās caur pārpildīto Centrāltirgu.
En: The sun had just risen above the old rooftops of Riga when Līga hurried through the crowded Central Market.

Lv: Viņas prāts bija pārpildīts ar domām par gaidāmo darbu un sestdienu, kas bija jau aiz stūra.
En: Her mind was filled with thoughts of the upcoming work and the weekend, which was just around the corner.

Lv: Bet šī rīta plāns bija vienkāršs – iegādāties svaigas zemenes savam mīļajam brālēnam, kurš pēc pāris stundām ieradīsies ciemos.

Lv: Līga smaidīja, šī neērtā situācija vienlaicīgi bija arī sirsnīgs brīdis, un viņi kopā smejas.
