Story Transcript:

Cs: Byla jasná noc na Karlově mostě v Praze.
En: It was a clear night on the Charles Bridge in Prague.

Cs: Jan a Eva se procházeli po kamenných dlaždicích.
En: Jan and Eva were walking on the stone tiles.

Cs: Voda Vltavy pod nimi tichounce klokotala.
En: The water of the Vltava below them gently gurgled.

Cs: Náhle se objevila hustá mlha.
En: Suddenly, a dense fog appeared.

Cs: Mlha byla tak hustá, že nemohli vidět dál než na několik kroků.
En: The fog was so thick that they could not see further than a few steps.

Cs: „Co se děje?“ zeptala se Eva vystrašeně.
En: “What’s happening?” asked Eva fearfully.

Cs: „Kde jsme?“ Jan se pokusil promluvit, ale mlha se zdála vše pohlcovat.
En: “Where are we?” Jan tried to speak, but the fog seemed to absorb everything.

Cs: Neviděli ani sochy, ani lampy.
En: They could see neither statues nor lamps.

Cs: Byli sami.
En: They were alone.

Cs: Z mlhy se začala rýsovat tmavá postava.
En: A dark figure began to take shape in the fog.

Cs: Pomalu se k nim blížila.
En: Slowly, it approached them.

Cs: Jan a Eva zůstali stát, aniž by mohli hýbat nohama.
En: Jan and Eva stood still, unable to move their legs.

Cs: Postava se zastavila před nimi.
En: The figure stopped in front of them.

Cs: Byla to starší žena v historických šatech.
En: It was an elderly woman in historical attire.

Cs: „Jsem Anna,“ řekla žena vážně.
En: “I am Anna,” the woman said solemnly.

Cs: „Jsem duch z minulosti.
En: “I am a spirit from the past.

Cs: Potřebuji vaši pomoc.“ Eva a Jan na sebe podívali.
En: I need your help.” Eva and Jan looked at each other.

Cs: Byli zmatení, ale cítili, že musí pomoci.
En: They were confused, but felt they had to help.

Cs: „Co máme udělat?“ zeptal se Jan.
En: “What do we need to do?” Jan asked.

Cs: „V městě se chystá katastrofa,“ řekla Anna.
En: “Catastrophe is looming in the city,” said Anna.

Cs: „Musíme najít starý alchymistický kámen.
En: “We must find an old alchemical stone.

Cs: Ten kámen je ukrytý někde v Praze.
En: The stone is hidden somewhere in Prague.

Cs: Pomůže odvrátit neštěstí.“ Jan a Eva přikývli.
En: It will help avert the disaster.” Jan and Eva nodded.

Cs: Následovali Annu přes mlhu.
En: They followed Anna through the fog.

Cs: Procházeli úzkými uličkami Malé Strany.
En: They walked through the narrow streets of Malá Strana.

Cs: Konečně dorazili k starému domu s těžkými dřevěnými dveřmi.
En: Finally, they arrived at an old house with heavy wooden doors.

Cs: Anna otevřela dvířka a ukázala jim starý truhlu.
En: Anna opened the door and showed them an ancient chest.

Cs: „To je ono,“ řekla.
En: “This is it,” she said.

Cs: „Musíme najít klíč.“ Jan a Eva hledali po celém domě.
En: “We need to find the key.” Jan and Eva searched the entire house.

Cs: Eva nakonec našla starodávný klíč skrytý pod podlahovým prknem.
En: Eva finally found an ancient key hidden under a floorboard.

Cs: Vydali se zpět k truhle.
En: They returned to the chest.

Cs: Anna použila klíč a truhla se otevřela s hlasitým skřípotem.
En: Anna used the key and the chest opened with a loud creak.

Cs: Uvnitř byl kámen, který se jemně třpytil.
En: Inside was the stone, gently sparkling.

Cs: „Díky vám,“ řekla Anna.
En: “Thanks to you,” said Anna.

Cs: „Katastrofa je odvrácena.“ Mlha se začala rozptylovat.
En: “The catastrophe is averted.” The fog began to disperse.

Cs: Jan a Eva se ocitli znovu na Karlově mostě.
En: Jan and Eva found themselves back on the Charles Bridge.

Cs: Ale Anna byla pryč.
En: But Anna was gone.

Cs: Oba se podívali na sebe a uvědomili si, že právě prožili něco neobyčejného.
En: They looked at each other and realized they had just experienced something extraordinary.

Cs: „Nikdy nezapomenu na tuto noc,“ řekla Eva s úsměvem.
En: “I will never forget this night,” said Eva with a smile.

Cs: Jan přikývl.
En: Jan nodded.

Cs: „Ani já.“ Noc se vrátila ke svému klidu.
En: “Neither will I.” Night returned to its peace.

Cs: Karlův most opět dýchal svoji kouzelnou atmosféru.
En: The Charles Bridge once again breathed its magical atmosphere.

Cs: Ačkoliv Jan a Eva nevěděli, co přesně se stalo, věděli, že pomohli odvrátit velké neštěstí.
En: Although Jan and Eva did not know exactly what had happened, they knew they had helped avert a great disaster.

Cs: A každá jejich další procházka po Karlově mostě jim připomněla tu magickou noc v mlze.
En: And every subsequent walk on the Charles Bridge reminded them of that magical night in the fog.
